Mysterio - WWE Issue..

Whatever issues Rey Mysterio had with WWE seem to longer exist as he seems happy with his current position. His knee is still bothering him but right now he isn't planning to take any time off. Stories going around about Rey's contract expiring soon aren't true as he has almost five years left on his deal. There is a clause in his contract that would allow him to retire as an in-ring competitor in less than five years, if his body isn't up in good enough shape to continue. If that were to happen, WWE would retain his in-ring rights.

Big Fatal 4 Way **SPOILERS** & Plans Revealed

As noted before, there is talk of having a four-way match for the Unified Tag Team Titles at WWE's Fatal 4 Way pay-per-view. Fatal 4 Way may also see the winner of NXT make his pay-per-view debut and The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan is another possible match for the show.

One of the working ideas has been for the winner of NXT team with his Pro for a Unified Tag Team Title shot. This could be Chris Jericho & Wade Barrett, R-Truth & David Otunga or Matt Hardy & Justin Gabriel getting the title shot. Another possible ending for NXT is for David Otunga to win and challenge R-Truth for the United States Title.

It's been said that Otunga, Barrett and Bryan are the only three NXT rookies who are guaranteed a main roster spot, although Gabriel is likely to stick around also as they like his in-ring work.

It should also be noted that current plans call for Sheamus to win the WWE Championship, with the move expected to take place at WWE's upcoming Fatal 4-Way pay-per-view. WWE wants to book Sheamus as a strong champion heading into SummerSlam.

The Latest On Mickie James & Maria Kanellis To TNA Inside

Contrary to reports stating Maria Kanellis has been negotiating with TNA Wrestling officials, the former WWE Diva said in a recently filmed "shoot" interview with Highspots that while she has received overtures from people affiliated with the organization, she has not had any official conversation or offer. As stated in previous interviews, she has not, however, ruled out joining the promotion in the future.

As reported earlier, TNA president Dixie Carter and Jeremy Borash attended Mickie James' country music album release party in Nashville last week. Friends of the recently released WWE Diva indicate she's not looking to do anything wrestling related for the time being as she is concentrating on her burgeoning country music career. It's also being said that she doesn't discuss wrestling much anymore amongst those close to her, however, that will likely come to pass. Nonetheless, Carter is said to be very interested in acquiring James as she is expected to offer her a deal once her ninety-day no-compete clause with WWE expires in July.

TNA Seeking New Ring Announcer - Lilian Garcia??

In light of ring announcer David Penzer's departure from TNA Wrestling, Jeremy Borash is now being used as the company's full-time ring announcer. However, the move may not be permanent as TNA officials are reportedly seeking talent outside the organization to assume the role.

According to a source, TNA officials have displayed interest in acquiring veteran ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta, whose career dates back to the 1970s. While he has worked for Ring of Honor in recent years, he hasn't worked full-time in the industry since leaving World Championship Wrestling more than a decade ago. Currently, he is a Spanish teacher at Christian Brothers Academy in New Jersey.

There is also an unconfirmed report circulating online indicating TNA officials have contemplated asking former WWE songstress Lilian Garcia join the organization. While the former WWE Diva has yet to publicly acknowledge TNA, she's very much aware of the Orlando-based wrestling promotion. The former ring announcer of Monday Night RAW has privately told friends she considers herself very loyal to WWE and thus she could never see herself working for TNA. Though she loved her job with WWE, she cited the taxing road schedule as her main reason for departing the company last year. Recently, Garcia moved out west to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment field, so a return to professional wrestling appears highly unlikely at this point. More shortly.

Victoria/Tara To Meet w/ WWE Officials

Lisa Marie Varon (a/k/a Tara; formerly known as Victoria in WWE) is expected to speak with WWE officials regarding a potential return to the company now that her contract with TNA has expired. However, friends of Varon say it's possible she'll return to TNA should WWE not make her a better contract offer as she's on good terms with management again.

The Undertaker Injured & Why Is WWE 'PG'?

The Undertaker suffered a busted nose at this past week's SmackDown! television taping in Cleveland, in due part to Rey Mysterio's "619" maneuver. He bled for a few minutes before the dark match concluded. Unlike two instances at Sunday's Over The Limit pay-per-view, no trainer was sent out to stop the bleeding.

Many within WWE feel the company's stance on blood is a direct result of Linda McMahon campaigning for office. One of the main reasons the company has prohibited blood from appearing on television is due to agreements that have been made to attract high-level sponsors such as Coca-Cola. The feeling is the rule would only change in case WWE's popularity tapers. One WWE source believes WWE's PG stance will remain in effect until either their licensing agreement with Mattel expires, which is years from now, or another wrestling company, such as TNA Wrestling, diminishes their popularity.

Hulk Hogan Undergoes Back Surgery

Hulk Hogan underwent successful back surgery earlier this week. TMZ reports Hogan had bone spurs removed in a three-to-four-hour procedure on Wednesday. He left the hospital the same day as the procedure. Flair said during a promotional tour overseas this week that Hogan wouldn't be able to wrestle again unless he underwent successful back surgery.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson Wants To Try All Types Of Movies

Former WWE performer Dwayne Johnson claims he doesn't care if his movies flop because he likes to try his hand at many different genres of film. He says he doesn't mind if people criticize his movie choices because he only ever does what he wants to do. He told movies.ie: "I don't want to be just that guy, who only does those kinds of movies. I want to strike out and try everything. And it's okay if it doesn't work every time - I'd be incredibly lucky if they did, especially given the range I've been trying - but I'm always so glad that I got the chance to push myself in a different direction, in a different genre. I don't expect the person who loved 'The Scorpion King' to run and see 'Tooth Fairy', and I don't expect the little girl who loved 'The Game Plan' to go and buy all my WWF videos. The important thing is, I love them all equally."

Bret Hart Praises Vickie Guerrero

Bret Hart has posted a new blog on his Facebook page commenting on WWE offering him the role of General Manager of Monday Night RAW. "So when the WWE offered me the chance to become the new general manager of Raw, I jumped at the opportunity," Hart wrote. "I expect this will be one of the most interesting job titles I've ever had and I can assure all my WWE fans that I will do my best to be the most interesting and creative GM since the inception of general managers." He also praised Vickie Guerrero for the amazing job she's done with the General Manager role in recent years on SmackDown!. Hart added: "As a note of interest, I'd like to say how proud I've been of Vicki Guerrero the last couple of years for doing the amazing job she's done playing this role on Smackdown. I'm only learning it after one week that's it's a much more challenging role than people might realize and I can only hope to do as good of a job as she did."

Report: Reid Flair Signs With TNA Wrestling

The WWE Hall of Famer is currently in the midst of a media tour helping promote TNA's tour of the United Kingdom beginning in January 2011. During an interview promoting the tour, Flair said TNA signed his son to a contract.

4 Former WWE Stars Available To Join TNA - Details

Former WWE stars Maria Kanellis, Gregory Helms, Paul Burchill and Charlie Haas are free to join TNA Wrestling as their respective 90-day no-compete clauses with World Wrestling Entertainment have expired. The clause prohibits released talent from immediately joining TNA, though they're free to start with any independent promotion. As noted earlier, there were money issues which was holding up Maria joining TNA. Also according to an exclusive source, there is no interest in Burchill right now and they are waiting on Shelton Benjamin before they think about brining back Haas.

Kanellis, Helms and Burchill were released on Feb. 26 while Haas was released two days later on the 28th.

(Good Luck With That)

Maria Wants To Make Out With Scarlett Johansson.. & Lilian Garcia Is Sick..

Celebrity Apprentice contestant and former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis was briefly featured on yesterday's edition of TMZ. Cameras caught up with her and she said would like to make out with actress Scarlett Johansson.
(I would LOVE to see that..) ;-)

Former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia was forced to pull out of the Adventure Con pop culture collector's show taking place this weekend in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee as a result of sickness. She stated on her Twitter account that she has a sinus infection, and thus her doctor is prohibiting her from flying. She wrote on Twitter, "Bummed cause I have a sinus infection & my doc won't let me fly this wkend. Have 2 cancel signing in TN. Sorry guys. :-(" Wrestling talent scheduled to appear at the event include Mick Foley, Ted DiBiase, Virgil, Greg Valentine and Raven.

John Morrison Injury Update..

John Morrison is currently nursing an ankle injury, thus explaining why he has not been featured on television as of late. It remains unknown the injury occurred, but he headed into the May 16 RAW live event in London, Ontario injured. That night, he worked a brief match with Vladimir Kozlov and was noticeably limping on his way to the backstage area. He was also favoring the ankle while signing autographs after the show. There is no word yet on when he'll return to action, but it doesn't appear serious. He was backstage at Monday's RAW taping and was said to be moving around well.

Mickie James - Batista Issue...

In light of news of Mickie James' release from WWE last month, it was noted that she had few "run-ins" with Batista. During her final few months in the company, things become so heated that he threatened to quit if she wasn't fired. At one point, The Undertaker had to step in to calm him down.

The two have past history as Brian Kendrick noted during a shoot interview with Highspots.com that years ago, Batista printed out nude photos of Mickie and plastered them on the locker room walls after he became agitated with her. Even James herself considers the photographs highly unsuitable as shortly after her WWE debut in 2005, she threatened to sue any website who published them. The photos had come to light due to her newfound fame.

Orlando Jordan And His Bi-Sexual Character...

According to a source, there are a number of wild stories going around concerning the openly bisexual Orlando Jordan. While we don't want to comment further on the circulating gossip, the stories relate to Jordan hitting on various people (including male talent) backstage.

In related news, there are numerous people within the company trying to kill off the character and are said to be unhappy that they have not yet succeeded. It doesn't appear they are going to either.

(PLZ PLZ PLZ end that stupid character)

Original 'The Band' Plans, JR To TNA?, Flair's TNA Contract

As seen, Eric Young became the new member of The Band recently. Believe it or not, Samoa Joe was also considered for the role before they decided on Young.

One of the people in TNA pushing the hardest for Jim Ross to come in is Vince Russo. Russo, who is moving to Nashville, continues to talk about getting off of the creative team and work in other areas with the company.

Ric Flair's contract is similar to Foley's and he is already way above the pace expected as TNA has been using him at every TV and pay-per-view. TNA will be out of dates to use Flair before the end of this year unless they do a similar angle with him.

Hernandez Update & Lacey Von Erich Turning Face..??

One of the reasons Hernandez was sent to Mexico was to take Spanish classes and be in Mexico so he's basically forced to use the language. While Hernandez is Hispanic by heritage, he doesn't know much Spanish. The idea when he returns, which is happening soon, is to have him do his interviews like Rey Mysterio where he uses both English and Spanish.

TNAWrestlingNews.com is reporting that there has been talk of Lacey Von Erich leaving "The Beautiful People" and turning babyface.

Ric Flair: TNA Will Have 'As Much Awareness As WWE'

The Daily Mirror has a video interview up with Ric Flair promoting the 2011 TNA UK tour.

In the interview, Flair says he will wrestle on the tour and that he is the happiest he has been in wrestling since 1986, adding that TNA lets him be himself.

He also said that Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan are in for the long haul and that TNA will have "as much awareness as WWE" in six months.

HA... Yeah Right...

Tough Enough Returning?, WWE 3D Special?, Finlay's WWE Status

There is talk within WWE of reviving the Tough Enough concept. As noted earlier, Eric Bischoff also wants to do a 'Tough Enough' concept show on SpikeTV this Summer. We'll keep you posted on both as we get more details.

For those who missed it, WWE creative writer Ed Koskey was the straight man in the mock Geico commercials promoting WWEShop.com on RAW two weeks ago.

As noted earlier, WWE is planning a 3D special for next year, likely to take place at a SmackDown! on SyFy show. More as we get it.

Though he's still listed on the SmackDown! roster page on WWE.com, Finlay is no longer listed on the company's depth chart as an active performer. As noted several weeks ago, the reason for this is because he's not scheduled to wrestle any longer. Vince McMahon decreed removing Finlay from the talent roster because he felt he was 'too old' — 52 years old. He will however remain with the company as an agent.

Mick Foley - TNA Update, Erick Bischoff To Start A New Show, & Christopher Daniels - TNA Update..

One of the reasons for Mick Foley doing the "leave TNA" storyline is because his annual contract listed a maximum number of dates. TNA had used Foley so often that he was way above the pace.

Eric Bischoff has been talking about doing some sort of show on Spike this Summer similar to WWE's Tough Enough. We'll keep you posted here on the website.

Christopher Daniels hasn't committed to any Ring of Honor dates after July and the feeling is that he's at least in serious talks with TNA about returning.

Ric Flair To Turn Babyface ???

For those who may have missed it last week, eople within TNA have been wanting Ric Flair to turn babyface but he's against the idea. Speaking of Flair, he and wife Jackie Beams have been back together since their domestic incident earlier this year. Jackie was with Ric at the recent iMPACT tapings. Flair's daughter Ashley will be getting married this month to her boyfriend of four years, the same guy who punched Ric last year. As always, you can't make this shit up

Is Virgil Already Done w/ WWE?, + Orton & DiBiase Injury Updates

John Morrison was backstage at RAW Monday night. He is nursing an ankle injury, but was said to be moving around well.

Randy Orton has told friends he doesn't expect his shoulder injury to keep him out of action for long. While he initially feared the worst when he suffered the injury at Over The Limit, it appears he will be healed in time for next month's Fatal 4-Way pay-per-view, which he is advertised for. Though Orton appeared to suffer the injury during his match with Edge on Sunday, he entered the match hurt. He worked a tag match with John Cena against Batista and Sheamus the previous night and was nursing the arm late in the bout. It doesn't appear a bump caused the injury as after making a tag to Cena, he immediately grabbed his arm and held it in pain for the remainder of match.

As everyone knows by now, Ted DiBiase suffered a concussion very early in his match with R-Truth this past Sunday night at Over The Limit when Truth slapped him across the face and knocked him loopy. An audible was called due to the injury, as DiBiase was tabbed to blame Virgil for his loss, subsequently knocking him out with the Dream Street. It remains unclear at this time whether Santino Marella hitting Virgil with the Vulcan Neck Pinch in a comedy segment the following night on RAW constituted his character being written off, or if it will happen within the next few weeks. Regarding DiBiase, he won't be allowed to wrestle until medically cleared. He is expected to be kept out the ring for a few weeks so he can heal.

Gregory Helms - TNA Update & Ric Flair A Fan Of Jay Lethal...

As noted earlier here on the blog, Gregory Helms is expected to join TNA Wrestling once his ninety-day no-compete clause with World Wrestling Entertainment expires later this month. He has already made a verbal deal with the organization through Jeff Hardy and will most likely be performing under his WCW ring name, Shane Helms. On another note, there is talk of starting a faction with Hardy, Helms, Shannon Moore and Jesse Neal.

Ric Flair has been described as loving Jay Lethal and was raving about Lethal to everyone he was talking to for days after they shot the angle two weeks ago on iMPACT! with Lethal doing the Flair imitation. Flair said Lethal does Ric Flair now better than he does and was even spotted partying after the show with Lethal raving about him to everyone who would listen.

Backstage Comments Over The Uso Brothers...

Jimmy and Jules Uso debuted on Monday's RAW alongside Sarona Snuka as the mystery trio that laid out The Hart Dynasty. The Uso brothers are the twin sons of former WWE performer Rikishi while Sarona is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka. One wrestler familiar with the trio said they are not ready for prime time. "Very, very sloppy," the wrestler told the PW Torch regarding the brothers Uso. "They need a lot of work." Meanwhile, the wrestler delivered an even harsher review on the daughter of "The Superfly." "She's the shits," said the wrestler. "Sloppy as shit."

Is Batista Gone From WWE ???

As seen this past Monday night on RAW, Batista announced he was quitting WWE after refusing to take part in Fatal 4-Way qualifying match against Randy Orton. His profile has since been removed from the RAW roster page and placed in the WWE Alumni section. WWE has yet to make an official announcement concerning his apparent departure from the company.

Will Stone Cold Steve Austin Return To The Ring??

While promoting his upcoming movie projects, Steve Austin was again asked about a return to pro wrestling. Here is what he had to say… "There comes a certain point in every wrestler's career where they realize they need to get their ass out of the ring. Professional wrestling will always be my first love and I will always be grateful for all of my fans and what I was able to accomplish in the ring. But now, acting is what I am focused on now. I realize that I'm back to being the ‘green' guy again but you just have to keep working at getting better, and I think that's what I'm doing. I am learning something new every day about working in Hollywood and it's a whole new game compared to what I was used to with the WWE."

Batista Training For Possible MMA Career

WWE superstar Batista, who is parting ways with the wrestling promotion for the time being, is training for a possible career in Mixed Martial Arts.

WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross commented in his blog at JRsBarBQ.com about the news that Batista would be following in Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley’s footsteps. He wrote:

“I’ve heard some rumblings that when Batista gets healthy that he might try his hand in the MMA world. This rumor is FAR from official but I do know that Batista has been doing some MMA training and has a bona fide interest in the genre,” Ross said.

He added, “This would be a huge challenge for Batista if he indeed attempts to compete in MMA at a high level which, again, is not a done deal.”

Will Randy Orton Wrestle At Fatal Four Way PPV ???

WWE is not 100% sure that Randy Orton will be able to wrestle at the Fatal Four Way PPV. If he can't, the WWE is likely to shoot an angle where someone takes him out of action and then takes his spot at the PPV. The likely candidates would be HHH or Chris Jericho.

WWE Wants Top New African American Super Stars..

Kofi Kingston won the WWE Intercontinental Title on Sunday and R-Truth won the WWE United States Title last night largely because of the company directive to find a new African American star.

Mr. Anderson's Babyface Turn, Lashley's New Business

Eric Bischoff made the hasty decision to turn Mr. Anderson babyface as he was impressed with his crowd reactions in recent weeks. Long-term plans called for Anderson to remain heel, but the crowd reaction was too much to ignore.

Bobby Lashley and business partner Judith Sussman have started a new management company to represent MMA fighters. UFC fighter Alessio Sakara has signed up with the company. You can find out more about that company at http://www.lashleymanagement.com/

TNA Knockouts Contracts & Tommy Dreamer To TNA ???

Daffney (Shannon Spruill), 34, may be dropped by TNA. Her contract expires later this year and there is talk it may not be renewed. Other Knockout contracts expiring this year including Hamada, ODB and Taylor Wilde.

Regarding speculation of Tommy Dreamer joining TNA, he says he has yet to be asked to join the promotion. For the time being, wrestling in Japan is his top priority.

Randy Orton Flips Out Backstage & Tag Team Title Match Confirmed..

As noted earlier here on the blog, some feel Randy Orton was injured heading into Over The Limit, but he didn't let anyone know. He was favoring his arm backstage after his match at Saturday night's live event in Cincinnati. On another note, he went ballistic following his match at Over The Limit as he wrecked the trainer's room.

Though it has yet to be officially announced, I can now confirm that the Unified Tag Team Championship will be on the line at Fatal 4-Way in a match pitting The Hart Dynasty against the unidentified tag team that debuted last night on RAW, as well as Chris Jericho & The Miz, and a tag team from SmackDown!.

Lacey Von Erich Having Some Issue...

Lacey Von Erich announced on her Facebook account over the weekend that she is involved in a custody dispute over her four-year-old son, Daniel, and that her hectic wrestling schedule may be damaging to her case. She is hopeful everything will be resolved without her having to leave the industry. In an update on the situation, TNA officials are permitting Von Erich to work less dates while she works things out. The father of her son, who is her ex-boyfriend, is claiming she is an unfit mother. Reportedly, he showed footage of her stripping on iMPACT! last month to a judge to further his case for custody of the child.

John Morrison Is Injured?? Hart Dynasty Plans

John Morrison has been dealing with an ankle injury that was suffered during the latest Canadian house show loop. There is no word on how serious the injury is or how long he will be out.

There is talk of the Hart Dynasty putting their tag titles on the line in a Fatal 4 Way match at next month's pay-per-view. Teams that would likely be involved are Miz & Chris Jericho and the mystery team that attacked the Harts on RAW.

Reason For Carlito's Release...

Carlito was released because he failed in a drug test. He did not tested positive for marihuana, cocaine, heroin or any of those drugs. He was tested because they suspected he was abusing painkillers and it proved to be true.
He started taking one or two when he broke his arm some years ago and then it seems he went out of control when he started having issues with his back.
He was told he needed to enter rehab, but refused, denying he had a problem. Hence, officials felt they had no choice but to cut ties with him.

Some deaths due to painkiller addiction...

The late Eddie Fatu (a/k/a Umaga) was similarly released by World Wrestling Entertainment last June after refusing to enter rehabilitation due to a perceived problem with painkillers. The combined effects of painkillers, tranquilizers and a muscle relaxant ultimately resulted in his death last December at the tender age of 36. The abuse of painkillers has triggered the passings of a number of wrestlers under the age of 50 including Test (33), Rick Rude (40), Brian Adams (44) and Louie Spicolli (27), among others.

Rey Mysterio Is Taking Some Time Off..??

Word going around WWE on the reason for CM Punk losing Sunday night and getting his head shaved is because Rey Mysterio is expected to take a bit of time off following tonight's WWE SmackDown! tapings. It's unknown yet if Rey is taking time off for knee surgery or just to spend time with his family and rest up. It should be noted that Rey hasn't been all that happy with WWE as of late. There are several different issues that he's ticked off about including his current pay. More shortly.

Shelton Benjamin To TNA ???

TNA's Jeremy Borash said Shelton is someone he could "definitely" see in TNA down the line. Shelton was released from his WWE contract on April 22nd, so he is likely contractually prohibited from jumping to TNA yet.
He met former WWE superstar Shelton Benjamin after the TNA live event in Houston, Texas on Saturday night.

If Bryan does not comploy, Cole will "sue him for all he's worth."

Will Randy Orton Be Able To Work At Fatal Four Way PPV ???

With Randy Orton scheduled for the WWE Fatal 4 Way PPV next month, the separated shoulder injury may not cause him to be out of action for a long period of time. Of course, it'll be a tag-team style match at the PPV so he won't have to work nearly as much. They could always change plans as well and pull Orton from the match if the injury turns out to be worse than thought.

Melina... Returning Soon..

Melina noted on Twitter this weekend that she's at least a few months away from returning to the ring. She said her doctor told her Thursday that she has two months left of physical therapy. A fan said she was being advertised for the June 5th RAW in Miami but Melina said she was unaware of having to be there that night. Melina has been out of action since January with a torn ACL.

The Mystry Team On RAW....???

The woman who attacked Natalya on tonight’s RAW was Sarona Snuka, daughter of Jimmy Snuka. Sarona is known as Tamina in WWE developmental. The male wrestlers with her were Jimmy and Jules Uso, the sons of former WWE star Rikishi.

The Uso brothers and Tamina laid out The Hart Dynasty and all three hit top rope splashes, ala Jimmy Snuka, on the fallen Harts.

The three have worked with G-Rilla as a Samoan stable in WWE developmental for some time now and have received rave reviews, particularly the Uso brothers tag team. It looks like they are now on the RAW roster.

R-Truth Can Not Cross Canadian Border..??

R-Truth was unable to work WWE's tour of Canada this past week because he is prohibited from entering the country as a result of receiving a citation a few years ago. In December 2008, he was detained at the Canadian border upon his arrival in the country and subsequently sent home. This was when he was with TNA Wrestling. WWE was aware of the situation ahead of time and did not book Truth for any of the shows.

4 Major WWE Injuries At Over The Limit PPV.

Randy Orton separated his shoulder during the neck snap spot during his comeback in the match against Edge at WWE Over the Limit. When he punched the mat, he furthered the injury.

CM Punk's head was busted open by Rey Mysterio's knee brace. Punk received 13 staples in his head to close the wound.

Batista was also injured last night. Batista suffered some sort of back and tailbone injury, believed to have happened in one of the last two bumps in the match involving the car.

Ted DiBiase may have been hurt in the match with R-Truth, or possibly hurt at last week's RAW. There were some spots planned for Ted's match with R-Truth last night that didn't happen, some of which included involvement from Virgil. Apparently Ted suffered a concussion, possibly from the hard slap from R-Truth early in the match.

WWE Needs A New Good Diva On Smack Down!

With Beth Phoenix out of action, WWE is desperately looking for a good female wrestler, not just a good looking Diva, to work on the SmackDown! brand. They regret firing Mickie James now.

There were some within TNA who actually thought Homicide was trying to get himself fired with the comments. He's tried to quit the company numerous times.

Shelton Benjimen... Returns To WWE Or Join TNA???

One WWE source recently indicated that it would not be surprising to see the recently released Shelton Benjamin return to the organization. It should be noted that Benjamin and TNA had recent talks several weeks ago and one TNA source in the know told TNAWrestlingNews.com that he was under the impression that Shelton was coming in once his 90 day no-compete clause with WWE expired.

Regarding iMPACT!'s move back to Thursdays, an upset Kurt Angle commented with the following: "I was upset that TNA is going back to Thursday nights. I know in time we could have had the Monday night Wars. I have mixed feelings about this. I can't wait to come back. The Monday Night Wars were one sided, and rightfully so. But TNA deserves an applause for trying. Maybe it was too early, but TNA tried, and TNA will try again when the time is right. Remember WWE wasn't built over night and in time TNA will be right up there."

Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan had a big medical scare this week after doctors thought they found an abnormality with his heart.

Hogan is set to undergo another back surgery in the coming weeks and has been going through the usual battery of pre-op medical tests to insure he's healthy enough to go under the knife. According to TMZ.com, doctors discovered a problem with his Electrocardiography (EKG), which monitors a patient's heart function.

Sources close to Hulk tell TMZ.com that Hogan was sent to a cardiovascular specialist in Florida for further testing. After another extensive round of medical tests, doctors were able to medically clear Hulk who was understandably "very worried" during the whole process.

New U.S Champion & Virgil Returns

Bret Hart is the new WWE United States Champion after defeating The Miz on this week's RAW in a no DQ, no count out match. While Bret obviously won't be an active champion, it remains to be seen what happens to the title now.

Virgil made his return to WWE on this week's RAW, accompanying Ted DiBiase to the ring. Virgil will be at Over the Limit this Sunday in DiBiase's corner in the match against R-Truth.

TNA's Plans Change...

The word coming out of last night’s Sacrifice pay-per-view is that LAX won’t be put back together with Hernandez and Homicide once Hernandez returns from Mexico. This probably has a lot to do with Homicide’s recent comments against TNA officials. The plan is to have Hernandez feud one-on-one with Matt Morgan once he returns.

One plan for last night’s Sacrifice had Team 3D costing The Band the tag team titles and then feuding with Ink Inc. for the belts. Obviously they went with the exact opposite finish and it looks like Ink Inc. will be feuding with Team 3D now.

Hamada's TNA Contract, Sarita's Push, And TNA Having A Budget Cut...

Hamada's contract with TNA will be expiring soon as the contract she signed last year was a one-year deal. TNAWrestlingNews.com is reporting that it's been said that it's highly unlikely she will be retained considering she is one of the higher paid women on the TNA roster and creative currently has no plans for her.

Meanwhile, there is talk of using Sarita more. Like Hamada, she is one of the higher paid women on the TNA roster, but hasn't been used much as a result of her high-end salary.

TNA will be making a lot of budget cutbacks this week. The cuts would be made to the company's bloated talent roster, which boasts approximately 70 performers these days. However, TNA President Dixie Carter is fighting these decisions as she doesn’t want people losing their jobs.

Keep It Up Dixie... You are doing good...

Former WWE and WCW/nWo star Mike Jones, formerly known as Virgil, was telling people over the weekend that he will be appearing at the WWE RAW tonight in Toronto to film an angle with Ted DiBiase Jr. This isn't confirmed but it's possible considering how much his name has been brought up lately.

TNA hire some good writers....

TNA Ring Announcer Gone

The word going around at the TNA Sacrifice pay-per-view is that ring announcer David Penzer is gone from the company. That is obviously why Jeremy Borash did the ring announcing at the Sacrifice PPV.

Excuse Her - Vickie Guerrero Is Coming To RAW

Vickie Guerrero Is Coming To RAW As General Manager...

Whats Is TNA Trying To Do..????

Orlando Jordan was expected to do something "controversial" during tonight's Sacrifice pay-per-view. He is scheduled to face Rob Terry in a match for the TNA Global Championship.

With That.. TNA will definitely loose ratings...

Backstage Heat On ODB...

There is heat on ODB over a comment she made online last month disparaging the Knockouts division.

After watching the Apr. 12 episode of iMPACT!, she wrote on her Facebook account: "Just watched from my DVR the Knockouts match. Wow, WTF is happening to our division?" This was in reference to a teased 'Leather & Lace' match between Angelina Love and Velvet Sky.

In another note, her contract expires later this year.

HAHAHA..!!! Good Bye ODB..

John Morrison Injured At WWE Live Event

At a RAW house show last night in Kingston, Ontario John Morrison suffered what looked like an ankle injury in his match with Vladimir Kozlov. It basically looked like Evan Bourne's previous injury where he did a dive to the outside and landed awkwardly. He was able to continue enough to hit Starship Pain right after for the win. He then limped to the back with assistance from the ref.

TNA Sacrifice Opener:

The pyro hits and Mike Tenay welcomes us to the show. He immediately begins hyping the World Title match between AJ Styles and RVD later tonight in a rematch of the match where RVD won the title. The Motor City Machine Guns' music hits, and it's time for the #1 Contender's match.

#1 Contender Match
Beer Money, Inc. vs. The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Team 3D

Beer Money is out next to a bit of a mixed reaction from the crowd, but a bit more cheers than I would have expected. Team 3D is out last, to a pretty big pop, unsurprisingly.

Robert Roode and Alex Shelley look to start things off in this match. They lock up and Roode snap mares Shelley into a rear chin lock. Shelley is right out of it, and they chain wrestle for a bit. Roode hits a big shoulder block that takes Shelley off his feet, and after a bit more chain wrestling, Shelley hits a hurricarana, and then a wheelbarrow into a bulldog that's good for a near fall. Shelley charges Roode, but he runs into a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Roode tags in Storm and Storm comes in with a big right hand to Shelley's face before taking Sabin off the apron. Shelley tries for a superkick, but Storm rolls to the outside, where he eats a round kick from Sabin. Back in the ring we get some great double team work from the Guns on Roode.

Sabin tags in and we get some double team on Storm's arm. Storm is able to come right back though with a high knee, but he gets tagged rom behind by Brother Ray. Ray locks up with Sabin and goes to work on his arm, taking him down to the mat, and wrenching down again. Ray goes to the well once to often and Sabin is able to turn the tide with a couple of round kicks to the ribs. Sabin avoids an elbow drop, but he eats a big right hand and a big boot from Ray. D-Von tags in and we get a backbreaker/leg drop combo that's good for a near fall that's broken up by Shelley. Shelley leap frogs D-Von and hits a dropkick, but when he tries to slingshot himself on top of Bubba on the outside, Ray moves and Sabin crashes.

Ray rolls Sabin back into the ring where D-Von goes to work, slamming Sabin down. D-Von goes for the cover and it's broken up by Storm. Ray tags in and hits a big chop to Sabin before knocking both members of BMI off the ring apron. Bubba slams Sabin down and climbs to the second rope, but when he goes for the senton, Sabin moves and as able to tag in Shelley. Shelley comes in as a house of fire, working over both members of 3D. Shelley goes for a double cross body and he's caught, but Sabin dropkicks Shelley and connects to hit the cross body. miscommunication causes both members of 3D to collide when Ray goes for the dive. Sabin dives out of the ring and hits BMI. Shelley tries for a double stomp on Ray, but Roode tags in and hits a sick running clothesline on Shelley.

Storm is in and BMI hit a double team suplex on Shelley before doing their Beer Money chant. Roode crotches Shelley on the middle turnbuckle before hitting a falling neckbreaker. Roode tags in and slams Shelley down. Storm hits an elbow drop and Roode hits a knee drop before locking in a rear chin lock. Shelley fights out, but he gets a running back elbow for his trouble. Storm tags back in and hits Shelley with a big right hand. Roode locks in a rear chin lock of his own. Shelley fights back up to his feet but he gets a right hand. Shelley avoids a dive from Storm, and hits an enzugiri, but Roode tags in and stops Shelley from making the tag. Roode tries for a suplex but Shelley lands on his feet and is able to make the tag to Sabin who comes in as a house of fire.

The Guns almost get the pin but D-Von is in and it all start to break down. Everyone is in and 3D start throwing bodies to the outside. It's down to 3D and BMI. Ray hits a bionic elbow on Storm, and 3D hits a doomsday decive on Roode. Sabin hits a springboard cross body out of nowhere and goes for the pin on Ray, but he only gets two. 3D throws Sabin out of the ring, and set up for a 3D on Roode. Storm comes in and spits beer in D-Von's eyes. Guns hits Roode with a double team in the corner before hitting a neckbreaker/cross body combo. Sabin pins Ray, and gets the three count.

Winners and NEW #1 Contenders: The Motor City Machine Guns

- Tenay and Taz talk a bit about the Abyss/Wolfe match coming up later tonight and apparently the police are in the building investigating Wolfe and Chelsea for filing false police reports.

TNA Global Championship Match
Rob Terry (c) vs. Orlando Jordan

Orlando Jordan is the first man out to the ring, he's lowered down on a trapeze, with what looks to be no safety equipment hooked up. He gets no reaction. Rob Terry is out next, coming right out, and Jordan is right on top of him. Terry fights Jordan back into the corner and buries his shoulder in Jordan's midsection before beating him around the ring and hitting a giant hip toss. Terry clotheslines Jordan in the corner and almost takes Jordan's head off with a huge lariat. Terry hits a big back body drop and splashes Jordan in the corner before hitting a big side slam. Terry goes for the pin and gets two. Terry tries for another back body drop and catches a boot to the face, and Terry replies with a spin kick.

Terry clotheslines Jordan to the entrance ramp, where Jordan tries to crawl away, but Terry takes him back to the ring and tosses him over the rope. Terry hits a running powerslam that's good for another two count. Jordan begs off for a bit, and when Terry goes for a kick, Jordan catches Terry's foot, hangs it up on the ropes, and kicks it before slamming him to the mat. Terry kicks and wrenches away at Terry, working over his leg. Jordan rolls to the outside and wraps Terry's leg around the ring post. Back in the ring, and Jordan contines to focus on the knee, driving his own knee down into Terry's knee before just punching away. Jordan tries for a couple of submissions but Terry fights him off, so Jordan goes back to working on Terry's knee.

Terry tries to crawl to the ropes, but Jordan stops him and stomps on his midsection. Terry fights him off again, but Jordan goes right back to work, hitting Terry with punches to the face before turning back to his knee. Jordan hits a knee drop with a really stupid set up and goes for a mounted pin, but only gets two. Jordan climbs up to the middle rope and pulls down his knee pad, but when he goes for the knee drop, Terry moves out of the way.

Terry gets up to his feet, where he hits the freak buster out of nowhere. He pins Jordan and gets the three count.

Winner and STILL TNA Global Champion: Rob Terry

As Terry makes his way to the back, Orlando Jordan charges up the ramp and attacks him from behind. Jordan sets the title belt down, turns Terry over, and slams his knee down into the belt. Jordan grabs the Global title, and throws it down on top of Terry.

Williams hit a ridiculous buckle bomb, and it looked really bad, like Kaz may have a concussion after this. Williams hits a suplex and goes for a pin but Kaz kicks out. Kaz hits what looks to be a reverse Russian leg sweep, but it's not enough to keep Williams down. Kaz fights out of a pile driver with a back body drop, and he sends Williams to the top. He goes for an electric chair drop, but Williams fights out of it, and hits a chaos thoery. Williams pins Kaz, and this one is over.

He says he doesn't need or want to do that because he's an asshole. He says while Hardy has his fans, he has a following, and he likes to call them Anderson's assholes, and tonight, they will loudly and proudly drown out the creatures of the night as they proclaim the winner of the match, once again, Mr. Anderson. Hardy fights back, picking Anderson up and dropping him right down on his back. Hardy tries for a flying clothesline, but Anderson ducks it and Hardy flies out to the floor. Anderson follows Hardy to the outside, where he sends him back first into the ring apron. Anderson rolls Hardy back into the ring where he goes for an elbow drop, but Hardy rolls out of the way. Hardy comes back, hitting a running clothesline in the corner, before following it up with another and pounding away at Anderson. Hardy tries for the corner dropkick, but Anderson gets his foot up to block it.

Anderson puts his knee to Hardy's ribs, before trying for a quick pin that's good for a two count. Anderson pounds on Hardy in the corner, and when Hardy tries to fight back, Anderson is right there with a series of right hands to Hardy's face. Anderson picks Hardy up and goes to work, pounding on him before locking in a low abdominal stretch. Hardy is able to fight up and out of it, but he walks right into another knee from Anderson that's good for another near fall. Anderson heads up to the second rope and he jumps off. Hardy gets his boot off, but Anderson catches it and hits an elbow drop.

Anderson just pounds away at Hardy, trying for another pin attempt, but he still can't keep Hardy down for three. Anderson picks Hardy up and locks in a regular abdominal stretch. Hardy fights out of it, and tries for a headscissors in the corner, but Anderson tosses his feet over and Hardy ends up crotched on the top rope. Anderson charges Hardy, but he finds himself backdropped over the top rope out onto the entrance ramp. Hardy goes under the ring and grabs a chair, which he sets up on the entrance ramp. Hardy backs up down the ramp, charges at Anderson, and uses the chair to get air to hit a leg lariat to send Anderson and himself back into the ring. Hardy tries for a pin but he only gets two.

Anderson and Hardy trade blows in the middle of the ring, and Hardy gets the better of it, hitting a series of clotheslines and a quick neckbreaker. Hardy sends Anderson into the corner, hits a clothesline, and follows it up with a clothesline. Hardy goes for another pin, but it's only good for two. Hardy goes for a suplex, but Anderson fights out and hits a standing Green Bay plunge that's good for a two count. Anderson tries for the mic check, but Hardy fights out of it. Anderson sends Hardy into the ropes, and turns him around, connecting with the mic check. Anderson goes for the pin and Hardy is able to get to the ropes. Another pin and Hardy kicks out at two.

Hardy catches Anderson with a couple of quick kicks before hitting a big front suplex. Hardy climbs to the top rope, but he goes back down to the mat and stomps at Anderson's back. Hardy hits the twist of fate, pulls off his shirt, and goes to the top rope, but Anderson cuts him off. Anderson hits Hardy with a couple of big right hands, and he shoulder Hardy. Hardy is able to fight out of it, and Anderson falls to the mat, with Hardy landing on top of Anderson's head. Hardy climbs to the top rope and hits a swanton bomb to Anderson's back. Hardy goes for the cover and gets three.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

After the match, Hardy celebrates, and Anderson grimaces. Hardy motions up for the microphone, but it doesn't come down. Anderson opens his hand, and extends it to Hardy. Hardy backs off without shaking Anderson's hand.

Backstage:

Christy Hemme is backstage with Ric Flair and AJ Styles. Flair says he knows AJ will bring back the gold. AJ says these are dark times for TNA. The man holding the title has no business doing so. RVD won the title on a fluke and Styles will prove it, not only for him, but also for Ric Flair, because he deserves to be surrounded by greatness. Styles says he'll make RVD's run seem like a blip on the radar, and there's two things RVD can do about it. Nothing, and like it.

- We get a video package, showing Sting's return to TNA after hiatus, and his building feud with Jeff Jarrett.

Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett

Jeff Jarrett is out to the ring first, announced as the founder of TNA and the King of the Mountain. Jarrett doesn't come out, and Tenay says there's something going on backstage. Sting is assaulting Jarrett backstage and Jeff is already busted open. Sting sends Jarrett into a couple of metal lockers. Sting locks in an arm bar, using his bat, and wrenches back. Sting uses his bat to beat Jarrett to the ringside area.

Sting beats Jarrett up to the announce area, before they go down toward the ring. Sting beats Jarrett all around the ringside area, sending him into the barricade, and Jarrett is bleeding profusely. Sting dismantles the ring steps before sending Jarrett face first into them. Sting picks up Jarrett before smashing him in the back of the leg with his baseball bat. Sting traps Jarrett's arm on the ring steps, under his baseball bat, and stomps straight down. Sting continues to use his baseball bat to work over Jarrett's arm, trapping it and dragging him around the ringside area.

Sting finally tosses Jarrett into the ring. He climbs in after him, hits the Scorpian death drop, and pins Jarrett, winning the match as soon as it officially begins.

Winner: Sting

After the match, Sting screams at Jarrett before circling him for a little bit. Sting leans down with a mic in his hand, saying if Jarrett wants to play the deception game, he's no different than 'those guys' and they'll pay just like he did tonight. Medical staff is out to check on Jarrett and Sting continues to circle with his bat in hand.

Sting watches as the medics try to 'pop Jarrett's shoulder back into place'. They bring out a stretcher, and the crowd is actually chanting for Sting. Sting walks out to the entrance ramp, and he watches as Jarrett is carries out of the ring. Sting stops the medics once they get him out of the ring, and he shoves Jarrett off of the stretcher. Hogan is out, and Sting climbs back in the ring, laughing and twirling his bat. Hogan checks on Jarrett, and he walks out with the medics.

Backstage:

Christy Hemme is backstage with RVD. He says that this is the first of many interviews. He says this Championship is different from many that he's held in the past because he stands for everything the TNA Title stands for. He's the best, coolest, most popular wrestler in TNA, and he'll stay the Champion. He says let Styles complain, because he'll come around that with RVD in TNA, more people will be coming to see him, but more people will see him getting his ass kicked, because he's RVD, and he's the whole F'n show.

TNA Championship Match

Rob Van Dam (c) vs. AJ Styles

We get a video package, mixing in ring footage with backstage 'off the cuff' interview footage of RVD. It sets up the title match very nicely.

AJ Styles is shown backstage, walking to the ringside area with Ric Flair in tow. Styles flips up his hood on his robe before walking out. When he hits the entranceway, he gets a warm reception from the crowd. The Champion is next, shown walking to the ring from the backstage area. When he hits the Impact Zone, the reaction is great, with a ton of love from the fans.

We get formal ring introductions from JB, and like every TNA PPV main event, after much, much, much fanfare, we're finally ready to kick things off.

After a lot of standing around, and some posing from RVD, both go for a kick, with neither scoring. More standing around and a bit more posing. We finally get a lock up, and AJ pulls Van Dam's hair, using it to pull him back into the corner. AJ and Van Dam get in each other's faces, and RVD poses again. AJ tries to interrupt, but he ends up on the recieving end of a clothesline from RVD that sends him to the outside. Van Dam poses again, and AJ uses the opportunity to pull him to the outside, where he goes to work with chops. AJ tries to send Van Dam head first into the entrance ramp, but when he tries for a moonsault off the entrance ramp, RVD avoids it and connects with one of his own before rolling back into the ring and posing again.

AJ is able to make it back into the ring, and Flair distracts RVD, leading to Earl Hebner ejecting Flair from the ringside area. Flair protests, but eventually makes his way to the back. AJ sulks on the outside and argues with Hebner, but Hebner won't budge. Flair goes to the announce table. RVD goes to the outside but AJ catches him with a right hand and rolls back into the ring. RVD tries to follow, but Styles sends him back to the outside into the barricade, and follows him with a tope over the top rope. AJ rolls RVD back into the ring where he stomps at Van Dam. Flair on commentary is very distracting, not in a good way. Styles slams RVD down and hits a beautiful knee drop.

RVD scores with a kick to Styles' face out of nowhere, and he follows it up by pounding on AJ in the corner. Styles is able to charge RVD in the corner, but RVD gets his elbow up. When he climbs the ropes though, RVD finds himself shoved off face first into the entrance ramp. Styles rolls RVD back into the ring and he goes for a quick cover but he only gets two. AJ locks in a rear chin lock with his knee in Van Dam's back for extra leverage. RVD is able to get to the ropes to force a break, so AJ pulls him back to his feet. AJ and RVD trade chops and forearms respectively, with AJ getting the advantage. RVD fights right back with a series of rights, but he runs into a big boot and a tornado DDT from Styles that's good for a near fall.

AJ hits a series of stiff kicks to RVD's back, just laying them in. Styles chokes RVD against the middle rope, and he gets into it with Hebner upon breaking the hold. RVD tries to fight back against Styles, but Styles hits a series of rights to RVD's face, and a dropkick to RVD, who's on his knees. Styles locks in a rear chin lock, but RVD is able to fight up to his feet. Styles tries to send him into the corner, but RVD comes back with a springboard single leg dropkick and both men are down.

Van Dam hits Styles with a couple of clotheslines and a big kick that sends AJ into the corner. RVD rolls into Styles and hits a monkey flip, launching him over. RVD goes up top and tries for the 5 Star frog splash, but Styles is able to move out of the way. Styles connects with a sprinboard clothesline that's good for a two count. Styles rolls RVD up, but it's still not enough to keep him down. RVD tries to come back, but Styles responds with a Pele kick that's good for another near fall.

RVD avoids a splash in the corner, and connects with a Northern lights suplex that's good for a two count. Both men are back on their feet, and Styles is able to lock in a small package for two. RVD hits a reverse Manhattan drop, before crotching AJ on the top rope, and leaping to the top turnbuckle to a single leg dropkick. RVD tries for rolling thunder, but Styles gets his knees up to block it. Styles gets Van Dam up in a torture rack, and spins him out into a powerbomb, that's good for a two count. RVD is able to kick AJ away, but AJ comes right back with a flying forearm that's good for another near fall.

Styles goes for the Styles clash, but RVD counters out of it, and both men trade roll ups. Both men go for, and connect with clotheslines at the same time and both men are down.

RVD and Styles trade blows in the middle of the ring and RVD gets the advantage with a pretty innovative roll up. Styles goes for the figure four but finds himself rolled up again. Styles charges RVD in the corner but ends up backdropped out to the apron. AJ jumps back into the ring onto the second turnbuckle, and connects with the moonsault DDT. Styles tries for the springboard 450, but RVD moves out of the way. Flair runs back down to the ringside area, but Jay Lethal is out to stop Flair from interfering. Lethal and Flair trade chops on the entrance ramp, with Flair getting the advantage. Lethal connects with a low blow, and a chop of his own before locking in a figure four on the Nature Boy.

Back in the ring, Styles crotches RVD on the top turnbuckle, and tries for a superplex, but RVD instead drives AJ throat first across the top rope. RVD goes to the top, and leaps off with the 5 Star frog splash. RVD pins Styles, and this one is over.

Winner and STILL TNA World Champion: RVD

After the match, Van Dam celebrates with his title while AJ and Flair sulk their way to the back, as the PPV goes off the air.
