Doctors in Tampa have determined that Ricky Steamboat's issues came from a capillary burst that caused bleeding on the brain. The original diagnosis was a brain aneurysm.
Steamboat remains hospitalized and is in stable condition and responsive and should remain hospitalized for at least another five days. Capillary bursts usually heal themselves but the brain bleed is considered serious. Capillary bursts usually come from blunt force.
It should be noted that the doctors don't think Monday's RAW angle caused the burst.

JR & Steamboat's Son Tweets
-- As reported earlier, WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat was hospitalized Wednesday night after suffering a brain aneurysm. He is reportedly in stable condition. His son, WWE developmental wrestler Richie Steamboat, recently opened an account on Twitter (http://twitter.com/richiesteamboat) and has posted numerous messages concerning his father's health. He wrote yesterday afternoon, "Please keep my dad in your thoughts & prayers. The issues are worse than expected but he could be worse. God will help him through it!!!" Then added today, "Thanks again everyone for the prayers & msgs. Dad is fine right now. God & you guys have helped us & things will get better as time passes."

Backstage Strikerforce News: Lashley vs. Batista MMA Fight?
Former WWE wrestler Batista created a lot of buzz earlier this month when he announced to TMZ.com that he will be fighting for the Strikeforce MMA promotion and already had his first opponent picked out.
The latest is that a deal still has not been reached between Batista and Strikeforce, but Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker confirmed the negotiations and brought up the idea of pitting Batista against fellow former WWE wrestler Bobby Lashley, who is currently under contract with Strikeforce.
When recently asked about facing Bobby Lashley in the cage, Batista said he would do it, but he wants a few fights to build to Lashley. Scott Coker thinks if they can get Lashley vs. Batista on CBS with a good semi-main event then they can do big ratings.
Lashley is still recovering from a knee injury that caused his most recent fight to be postponed. Lashley's recovery is actually behind schedule and he will be out of action a bit longer than initially expected.
In training for his MMA debut, Batista has hired a wrestling coach, a boxing coach and a jiu jitsu coach.

WWE NXT Rookie Injured Last Night - Details Inside
NXT Rookie Alex Riley suffered a wound to the back of his head while defending his FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship against Kaval at last night's Florida Championship Wrestling television taping in Tampa, Florida.
Riley suffered the injury after hitting his head on the guardrail, which was in due part to a kick from Kaval. The match was immediately stopped and medical personnel assisted Riley to the back.
Seeing as the match was the final bout of the three-episode taping, FCW President Steve Keirn came out to apologize to the fans, noting it will take place at a different time. He said he had a standby match, which saw Percy Watson upend Big E. Langston.

Ricky Steamboat is currently in stable condition in Tampa, FL following what is believed to be a brain aneurysm. Steamboat had a surgical procedure done yesterday to determine the severity of the aneurysm. No word yet on when he will get out of the hospital but it won't be anytime soon.

TMZ has a video up where they spoke to Brock Lesnar about his return fight on Saturday. Brock said he's feeling fine after his health scare and that it was his opponent Shane Carwin who was risking his life in the match.

» Right now, TNA officials know that they're doing an angle with the ECW originals but do not know exactly what that angle will consist of. Different ideas are being discussed, including the idea of eventually producing a second ECW-like brand in the company with it's own TV show. The feeling is that the more TV programming they have, the more money they can charge Spike TV for TV. That's what helps the company stay alive.

It's said that Paul Heyman does not want to come into TNA with the way things are currently set up as far as creative and everything else goes.
Dixie Carter has been calling Paul Heyman about coming in for the storyline with ECW originals and to take over TNA creative. If Heyman comes in, Vince Russo would walk away from the creative side of things but still remain with the company. Eric Bischoff would be there to work on new programming.
It's said that Spike TV is involved in the talks with Heyman, like they were with guys like Mick Foley and Ric Flair.
Heyman is currently helping market Brock Lesnar while working on two book projects and running his creative agency.

It is not clear if his current condition is related to his performance on Monday night. WWE is waiting to hear more from the attending physicians.
WWE also just added the following to their story about Ricky Steamboat: "According to medical officials, his condition is most likely not related to his performance on Monday night, and Ricky’s medical prognosis is good to excellent."
