Why Hulk Hogan Wasn't At iMPACT!?, Velvet Sky To WWE Rumors

As noted earlier, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff were not backstage at the TNA iMPACT! taping in Orlando last night. TNA president Dixie Carter and Jason Hervey were not there either. According to a source, Hogan is scheduled to undergo back surgery on today (Wednesday) and that's why he wasn't there. Hogan is said to have been in a lot of pain backstage at the tapings. Dixie Carter doesn't always attend the Tuesday TV tapings so this is no surprise.

As noted earlier, TNA President Dixie Carter confirmed via Twitter that Knockout Velvet Sky signed a new long-term deal with TNA. This means any talk of a jump to WWE is out of the question at least for now, although we have been told by many to keep in mind that a TNA talent signing a multi-year contract doesn't mean much as ODB did the same recently and quit the company two months later.

CM Punk Undergoes Surgery - Out 4-8 Weeks

The word at the SmackDown! tapings is that CM Punk had surgery on his arm last week.

Rumor has it that he will be out anywhere from 4-8 weeks. He had been working hurt for a few weeks at least. He came out wearing a sling at tonight's SmackDown! taping.

More shortly.

Steamboat-WWE Storyline, SD! MITB **SPOILER**, Miz-WWE

-- WWE is running a storyline angle that Ricky Steamboat suffered cracked ribs, internal injuries, and a sprained neck from the Nexus attack on RAW last night.

-- WWE SmackDown! is being taped tonight in Wilkes-Barre, PA. At the taping they announced the following names for the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match at the 7/18 PPV: Kane, Matt Hardy, Cody Rhodes, Christian, Kofi Kingston, and Big Show.

-- One of the reasons WWE made the call to put the United States Championship back on The Miz was because he was heading to the E3 event and by doing media for the company it helped to have a wrestler with a championship belt.

Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff Not At TNA iMPACT! Tapings

Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are not backstage at tonight's TNA iMPACT! tapings. We have no other details as to why as of now.

It's possible (and likely) that they taped segments last night and they'll be edited in later.

This Week's RAW & SmackDown!'s Rating Are In...

-- The June 18th edition of SmackDown! did a 1.8 rating, with 2,850,000 viewers. The June 26th edition of AM Raw did a 0.57 rating, with 584,000 viewers.

RAW did a 3.3 cable rating with 4.5 million viewers off hours of 3.28 (3.3) and 3.27 (3.3).

Report: 'Tara' To Return To TNA Wrestling

Lisa Marie Varon (a/k/a Tara) is expected to return to TNA Wrestling.

She was legitimately leaving when her previous contract expired, hence the retirement stipulation in her match with Madison Rayne at Sacrifice. But just before the match took place, she and Dixie Carter either cut a new deal or were closing in on one. Since the retirement stipulation was already in place, she lost as scheduled and left. Creative is now trying to develop an angle to explaining her return.

Major Backstage Update On Barrett, McIntyre & DiBiase/Maryse Storyline...

To follow up on our earlier report regarding the work visa issues with Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre, we're told at this point that WWE has no idea when McIntyre will be back and the hope was that Barrett would be able to return by next week but nobody knows for sure.

According to a source, WWE creative was told on Tuesday afternoon at the SD! tapings to presume both wouldn't be back until after SummerSlam in August, making things extremely tough more so for Barrett given the way he was booked as the "leader" of the NXT/Nexus group on RAW. It is possible they could both be back sooner, but that was the initial word as of today.

It should be noted that current WWE Champion Sheamus was signed by WWE around the same time as Barrett and McIntyre. The belief as of right now is that he is okay in regards to his work visa, but given the fact how things were handled with Barrett and McIntyre he could possibly be next. This is definitely causing major issues for WWE creative.

We had reports that Maryse did an awesome job as valet for Ted DiBiase on the RAW shows. The idea behind the pairing is to add more charisma to DiBiase' act as everyone views him as a future top star, but he's not quite at that level where fans accept him as a top star.

**SPOILERS** TNA iMPACT! Results For Thursday

Impact opened with an Abyss promo which I missed but it ended with Hulk Hogan coming out followed but Bischoff to restrain Hogan but ended up attacking Abyss. Abyss no sold it which then Hulk gave Abyss three chair shots which he no sold also. They led to Jeff Hardy coming out to give Abyss the twist of fate and Swanton to end the segment

Motor City Machineguns vs. Ink, inc. Motor City Machineguns won via pinfall on Jesse Neal. Bubba was going to interfere but Devon cut off Bubba and they argue for awhile. then Devon comes in the ring and helps Neal to his feet.

Bischoff came out and announced the main event as Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss with RVD as guest ref in the match

AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe Joe wins via submission Styles fights with Kaz and Ric Flair afterwards and Styles wants Kaz next week. Kaz accepts which ends the segment.

The next segment is the Pope's return to the impact zone. Huge "Welcome back" chants for the Pope and huge Pope. Pope cuts one of his classic promos which he is great at doing. Pope says he is back in the game now and he wants to work his way to RVD. Just as he finishes, Kurt Angle's music hits and he welcomes Pope back into TNA. Angle says at Victory Road, we have Pope vs. Angle and Angle says he must be victorious. he walks off and we head to commercial.

During the break they bring up Cody Angle to the ramp and the fans chant Cody. Angle's other kid is also here sitting next to Dixie Carter at ringside.

Desmond Wolfe vs. Brian Kendrick. Chelsea still looks unhappy to be with Wolfe and leaves him mid-match again. Kendrick puts Wolfe in a submission hold and Wolfe taps out Douglas Williams was on commentary during the match.
Jay Lethal calls out AJ Styles and Ric Flair to answer for jumping his brother last week. Matt Morgan comes out and says that Flair has asked him to be the first member of Fortune. Lethal hits Morgan and the match is on. The early part of the match is the typical Matt Morgan dominance. A couple of near falls for Morgan until Morgan misses his kick and Lethal begins his comeback. Morgan throws Lethal out and Hernandez sneaks in and low blows Morgan with the ref's back turned. Lethal picks up the pinfall victory. Hernandez walks up the ramp as a pissed off Morgan looks at him. Lethal celebrates the win.

Taylor Wilde vs. Madison Rayne in TNA Knockouts non title action During the match Tommy Dreamer, Raven, Rhino and Stevie Richards show up, again taking everyone's attention for the match at hand. Rayne picks up the easy victory on Wilde only to get attacked by Love post match. The crowd doesn't care they are to busy snapping pics of the ECW guys in the front row of the stands. During the break Stevie got in the ring and threw out some TNA DVD's.

We cut to backstage where some new Knockout in black [Note from Mike: I was told it was Sarita] is beating up Taylor Wilde for some reason and the ECW originals decide to head back to the backstage area.

We go back to the big screen where Dixie Carter walks up to Sting in the rafters and says Hulk and Bischoff says he is a cancer to TNA and sting is suspended for 30 days. Of course Sting verbally assaults Dixie until Bischoff comes up there and has security take him out of the Impact Zone. Bischoff tells Dixie to hire a 24-7 bodyguard because Sting might go psycho now and he fears this isn't over with Sting.

Time for the main event. RVD comes out first with a ref shirt on. Abyss has a 2 x 4 with nails in it. Hardy takes control early before Abyss takes it outside and throws Hardy into the ring steps to take control. Abyss tries to use a chair but RVD takes the chair from Abyss. The crowd is into this match and is behind Hardy all the way, Hardy with the Swanton to get the pinfall and win. Abyss attacks Hardy and Black Hole slams RVD. Abyss was going to use the 2 x 4 with the nails but Ken Anderson comes running down with a chair and hits Abyss then turns to hardy and nails him with the chair by accident because Abyss ducked. Abyss hits the Torture Device slam on Anderson. That is probably where the shows cuts out.

Post match, Anderson helps Hardy up and Hardy poses for the crowd and leaves.

Breaking News: Drew McIntyre & Wade Barrett Pulled From TV

Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett have been pulled from WWE television as their current work visas have expired and they are no longer eligible to work within the United States. In the case of Barrett, he has returned to Great Britain while he awaits a new visa to be cleared. Meanwhile, McIntyre is still believed to be in United States.

According to company sources, no timetable has been set regarding their respective returns.

More shortly.

Conspicuous by his absence last night on RAW was that of Wade Barrett. Michael Cole continued in his role as mouthpiece for RAW's still anonymous General Manager, announcing that the mystery GM will have a verdict on the season one NXT Rookies – who have taken to referring to themselves as The Nexus – on next week's show. To explain Barrett's absence, it was noted that he was conferencing with WWE officials to learn the fate of he and his group. It should be noted that the season one NXT Rookies did run-ins during the main events of this past weekend's RAW live events and Barrett was notably absent from the proceedings.

Report: Randy Orton & Rey Mysterio Injured + TNA **SPOILER**

-- Kelly Kelly, R-Truth and Cody Rhodes were apparently not the only WWE Superstars hurt on the road this weekend.

According to a source, both Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio experienced minor ailments this weekend; Orton reportedly hurt his neck, while Mysterio is dealing with a slight groin issue. Neither injury is apparently serious enough to keep the wrestlers from working through the pain.

Previously, reports came in that Kelly Kelly and Cody Rhodes suffered in-ring bang-ups that, while painful at the onset, produced no severe, lingering problems. R-Truth suffered a groin injury, and he, too, is expected to continue wrestling.

-- The following contains a potential spoiler for Thursday’s TNA iMPACT! television show. Rhino is backstage at the TNA iMPACT! taping in Orlando, Fla. Rhino is expected to take part in the ongoing ECW wrestler storyline along with Tommy Dreamer, Raven, and Stevie Richards.

Confirmed: The Undertaker & Michelle McCool Get Married (Pic)

It has been confirmed that WWE stars Michelle McCool and Mark Calaway (a/k/a Undertaker) got married on Saturday in Houston, Texas. The two have been romantically linked since 2007.

The private ceremony was attended by family and numerous friends, including those involved with the wrestling industry. Here is the wedding photo of McCool alongside longtime friends Torrie Wilson, Lisa Marie Varon, and Sharmell.

Both have been previously married, Calaway having been married two previous times with McCool being married once before. Both have divorced as well in recent years — McCool divorced her "high school sweetheart" in 2006, and Calaway divorced his second wife Sara in 2006 or 2007.

Michelle McCool & The Undertaker Engaged?, RAW MITB Match

As seen during last week's episode of SmackDown!, Michelle McCool and Layla sat alongside Todd Grisham and Matt Striker to commentate Kelly Kelly's match against Rosa Mendes. During the bout, Striker cryptically hinted at an apparent marriage engagement while sitting next to the two Divas. "Some people like to get married in June so if anyones getting married congratulations to them as well," Striker said. Layla added, "Yeah, congratulations!" McCool didn't say anything. It was recently reported that McCool was seen wearing a large diamond ring on her ring finger during an autograph signing earlier this month. It is well known within WWE circles that McCool has been involved in a relationship with The Undertaker for the past few years, so the ring may indicate that the couple is now engaged.

-- Current plans call for eight WWE Superstars to work each Money in the Bank Ladder Match at next month's Money in the Bank pay-per-view. The RAW Money in the Bank Ladder Match is expected to feature Randy Orton, Edge, The Miz, Evan Bourne and R-Truth as participants, among others.

Mickie James Doesn't Understand Why She Was Fired By WWE

Fformer WWE Diva Mickie James was interviewed by Alez Marvez of Scrippsnews.com last week and spoke at length about her wrestling and country music careers. James has spent the last year and a half working on her debut country music CD, "Strangers and Angels." I have compiled some more highlights of what Mickie James said:

Her Country Music Career: "Wrestling has kind of taken a back seat right now,. This is a new passion of mine. I'm a very competitive person and very much a perfectionist. When I want something that badly, I'm willing to make sacrifices and do whatever it takes to make it happen."

Getting Released By WWE: "It broke my heart. I admit it," said James, who initially landed a WWE developmental contract in 2003 after spending four years on the independent circuit and in TNA Wrestling. "I had given so much of my life to this and sacrificed so much. I missed weddings, birthdays, my nieces being born. I starved on the road when I first tried to make it. I slept at rest stops because I didn't have the money for a hotel. I wanted it that bad.

"When you get that call that you're hired, it's the greatest call in the world. It's even better when you get the call that you're coming to TV (tapings) and debuting. But when you get the call saying you're gone ... What bothers me is, I could see if I didn't get a good reaction, but I would get the largest reaction of any female on the roster no matter who I was on the bill with. I still don't understand why, but that's life."

Her Future in Wrestling: "For a while, I was going to say I didn't want to wrestle at all because I'm still heartbroken (about WWE)," James said. "But I do love it so much. I intend to wrestle here and there and do the shows I really want to do, especially if it's with someone who's a friend of mine or someone I never got a chance to work with."

According to Tara/Victoria's Twitter, Booker T's wife and former WWE and TNA talent Sharmell is pregnant with twins. Says Tara:

Cena's 8-Year WWE Anniversary

Today on Twitter, John Cena noted starting with WWE eight years ago today. "Thank you to everyone who has sent well wishes," Cena wrote. "Started something here eight years ago today, you are the reason I am still here. I will continue to give you everything I have, every night. I am truly grateful for all of you out there. You have no idea. This is my dream. Thank you for making it come true. Never give up. Eight years and going strong. They still can't see us." Today is the eight-year anniversary of Cena's debut match with WWE, which was broadcast on the June 27, 2002 edition of SmackDown!. He lost to Kurt Angle.

2 Former WWE Stars Interested In Joining To TNA Wrestling

-- Jon Heidenreich, a former WWE Tag Team Champion, was backstage at TNA Slammiversary looking for work.

-- Meanwhile, former WWE performer Kenn Doane recently noted the following on his Twitter account: "tna scouting for talent..... um...... im right here." The former WWE Tag Team Champion worked a tryout dark match for the organization in March, but was not hired for undisclosed reasons.

MITB **SPOILERS** & Rumored Matches

As of now, the likely plans for Money in the Bank are Rey Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger (announced on SmackDown!), Sheamus defending the title against in all likelihood John Cena, Hart Dynasty vs. The Usos for the tag titles and the two MITB matches. Initial plans called for 8 men in each match, but that is not finalized yet. Randy Orton, Edge, The Miz, Evan Bourne and R-Truth are likely for the RAW match, which is expected to be finalized tomorrow night.

Who Is Alberto Del Rio?

As seen on Friday's SmackDown, a pre-taped vignette was aired featuring an individual by the name of Alberto Del Rio, who claimed to be the "only real honest man." Del Rio, who's real name is Alberto Rodríguez, has ties to some of the most well known Mexican wrestlers as he is the son of luchador Dos Caras, as well as the nephew of Mil Mascaras and Sicodelico. Del Rio previously competed in Mexico under the name Dos Caras, Jr., a masked wrestler. He reportedly signed a three-year contract with WWE last June and had been working non-televised matches since April, both masked and unmasked.

Bret Hart Claims He's Not Sure What His WWE Status Is

Commenting on rumors concerning his status with World Wrestling Entertainment, Bret Hart claims he too is unaware of his status with the organization. Hart wrote the following yesterday on his official website, also noting Martha Hart's lawsuit against WWE:

"As far as the recent lawsuit filed by Martha, I'm working on a detailed response that I will post soon, but I think my fans might be a little surprised at my take on things. Aside from that, I know that the WWE Universe is more than curious to know what my status is anymore and the truth is nobody knows, including me. There are a lot rumors out there about me and all I can say is that they're rarely true. I will have some major announcements forthcoming, but right now I'm going to keep the lid on things because I'm not looking for any distractions."

Report: Cody Rhodes, R-Truth & Kelly Kelly Injured

Indications from last night's WWE house shows are that several WWE stars could have sustained injuries:

-- During last night's SmackDown house show in Portland, Cody Rhodes apparently took a bad bump as a result of a double back suplex, courtesy of Kofi Kingston and Matt Hardy. The second generation wrestler would continue the match a few minutes later, but was assisted to the backstage area by medical personnel following its conclusion.

-- Also, Kelly Kelly reportedly suffered an injury at last night's SmackDown house show in Portland, Maine. Facing WWE Women's Champion Layla, she was injured receiving a dropkick to either the back of her shoulder or neck. The bout was prematurely concluded by the referee. The SmackDown! Diva was then assisted to the backstage area by medical personnel.

R-Truth reportedly tweaked his knee during his Triple Threat Match against The Miz and Mark Henry at last night's RAW brand house show.

Immediately following the conclusion of the match, which saw Miz pin R-Truth, the referee threw up the "X" signal. The former United States Champion was assisted by medical personnel to the backstage area.

Velvet Sky Signs Long-Term TNA Contract

One third of the Knockout Tag Team Champions, Velvet Sky, indicated Saturday on her MySpace account that she has signed a new, long term contract with TNA Wrestling. "I ain't going anywhere!," Sky exclaimed. Her contract was set to expire later this year. It was recently reported that there has been more grumbling than usual amongst the company's female performers over the pay discrepancy between them and their male wrestler counterparts. At a recent set of television tapings, they reportedly talked amongst themselves of getting all the women together to demand a raise from management. However, the television tapings concluded without confrontation as we noted earlier. The women said to be most upset were Velvet Sky, Taylor Wilde and Lacey Von Erich. ODB was also part of this camp, but has since quit the organization. Reportedly, Velvet Sky was contemplating quitting the organization if she didn't receive a raise, but it appears she's been pacified.

Photos: Triple H's New Look..

.Several photos of Triple H with a new clean shaven look have been posted online. The photos (13 of them) show Triple H on the set of his new movie with a clean shaven face.

Mick Foley's TNA Return?, Jeff Hardy Neck Injury?, Roxxi's Future

» Mick Foley is expected to return to TNA programming within the next month or two. More shortly.

» TNAWrestlingNews.com is reporting that recently departed TNA Knockout Roxxi is currently training to compete in a fitness competition at the NPC Jay Cutler Classic in Boston.

» Jeff Hardy's neck was bothering him following last weekend's TNA live events. No word on how serious the injury is or if he'll miss any time as of this writing. Stay tuned for more.

Another Reason Dave Batista Left WWE - Strikeforce Update

One of the reasons Batista's relationship went south with WWE is because he had a four-picture agreement with David DeFalco, the guy who directed Wrong Side of Town with Batista and RVD, and was given the OK by John Laurinaitis to take time off to film the movies. When Laurinaitis told Vince McMahon, Vince said he couldn't take time off as long as he was under a contract.

Batista's talks with Strikeforce have been going on but it's said that they can't agree on money. TMZ recently noted that Batista has lots of movie and TV offers. They also noted that people in his camp weren't happy when Booker T said he wouldn't do good in MMA and that Bobby Lashley could beat him.

Steamboat Returns, The Fortunate Sons-WWE Update, LayCool

» WWE developmental wrestler Richie Steamboat returned to singles action at Thursday night's Florida Championship Wrestling live event in Tampa, Florida, pinning Donny Marlow. Last week, Steamboat teamed up with his father, WWE Hall of Famer Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, his first match since tearing a ligament in his knee earlier in the year.

» There has been at least some talk of bringing in Brett DiBiase to the main WWE roster once he returns from injury this Fall for the planned Fortunate Sons stable with Ted DiBiase and NXT Rookie Michael McGillicutty (Joe Hennig). Of course this would all depend on what happens between now and then, which could be anything.

» WWE creative is currently happy with the Michelle McCool - Layla tag team. While some saw them as a "Beautiful People" knockoff at first, LayCool is seen as a hot act with a lot of potential.

TNA Knockouts Upset w/ Pay, ODB's TNA Firing

» There has been more grumbling than usual amongst the female performers of TNA over the pay discrepancy between them and their male wrestler counterparts. Reportedly, they talked amongst themselves early last week of getting all the women together to demand a raise from management. However, the three-day television tapings in Orlando concluded without confrontation.

» Many in the locker room are sounding off on TNA using international wrestler Kazuchika Okada, who thus far has been regulated to Xplosion. Many feel he's not nearly as talented as fellow Japanese wrestler Kiyoshi, who has been sparingly used in recent months.

» Unlike the case of Roxxi, there has been no strong reaction to ODB's departure from TNA Wrestling. A number of people within the company felt bad for Roxxi because she showed up for work on the day of Slammiversary and hastily informed her services would no longer be required. Many feel the Knockouts division "has gone to hell" as Roxxi was one of the better in-ring performers they had left. On another note, there is said to be no interest on the company's part in marketing women's wrestling, sans pushing "The Beautiful People" and Angelina Love.

PHOTOS: CM Punk COMPLETELY BALD!

As seen at last month's Over the Limit pay-per-view, CM Punk had his head shaved after losing to Rey Mysterio in a Straight Edge Society pledge vs. hair match. Since this time, Punk has donned a mask to the ring in order to hide his shaven head. While Punk's fully shaved head has yet to be revealed on WWE programming, an extra on the newly released Over the Limit DVD set shows Punk completely bald. The extra is a "G-TV-like" segment showing an upset Punk with a bare head in the locker room. However, Punk quickly gets over the loss as he engages in a group hug with The Straight Edge Society.

The Reason A Top WWE Star Missed SD! This Week

Despite winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Sunday's Fatal 4-Way pay-per-view, Rey Mysterio does not appear on this week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown!. The reason for this is because he was given Tuesday's television taping off so he could take his family on vacation to Hawaii. Mysterio's contract with WWE gives him one weekend per month off from live events but he's supposed to appear at all television tapings and pay-per-view events.

How Old Is Layla? The Real Reason Savannah Was Fired From WWE?

Today is WWE Women's Champion Layla's birthday, who turns 32 years old.

As reported Wednesday here on the website, ring announcer Savannah (Angela Fong, 25) was released from her WWE contract. She was recently replaced by Jamie Keyes as the ring announcer for NXT and instead moved to a backstage announcer role on RAW. It's said her flubbing lines on last week's RAW while interviewing Wade Barrett was the reason for her dismissal from the company. WWE management was definitely not pleased with this and they let her know about it.

Prior to entering the wrestling industry, Fong was a cheerleader for the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League, as well as a bikini model. She tried out for the 2007 Diva Search and although she didn't make the final cut, WWE would sign her to a developmental contract a few months later. It had been long rumored that Fong would be called up to the main roster in a wrestler capacity, but she instead made her WWE debut as a backstage announcer on ECW. She assumed the role of ring announcer following Lauren Mayhew's departure from the company last November.

Fong reportedly garnered heat with some in the company over a topless scene she filmed for a direct-to-DVD movie called Ratko: The Dictator's Son, a National Lampoon production. She filmed the scene before being hired by WWE, but company officials were unaware she had until video stills of Fong appearing topless surfaced online earlier this year.

Former TNA Knockout Robbed Yet Again

It's been a crazy couple of week's for Lisa Marie Varon (Tara/Victoria). A set of custom wheels valued at $3,000 were stolen off her car parked outside her house in Louisville, KY. Amazingly, the person who stole them, later took them into her Black Widow Customs workshop, and inquired how to fit said wheels on their own car. Staffers at the workshop played it cool, alerted police, and she later got her wheels back. Varon also had some gimmick money stolen while working last weekend at the Philly Comic-Con.

Backstage Update: Vince McMahon Not Happy w/ Chris Jericho

Several people in WWE are talking more and more about Chris Jericho leaving the company when his contract expires in September. Word is that Jericho asked officials for permission to try and become the host of ABC's Downfall game show and was given the OK. When Jericho was hired for the show, apparently Vince McMahon got mad and nobody can really explain why.

Jericho was on somewhat of a losing streak lately and was given less promo time. He was the only top star missing from RAW two weeks ago where the RAW Superstars stood up against the NXT Rookies. Jericho has since been put into a program with Evan Bourne and all seems well at this point. It's not like they're going to punish one of their top stars for months on end.

Huge Batista Update - TNA Or MMA Debut?, WWE Return?

As noted before, Batista was at last week's Strikeforce MMA show and made it clear that he left WWE because he was unhappy with the direction of the company. A reporter asked Batista if he would do something like Chris Jericho and return in a year or two. Batista said he didn't want to be compared to Jericho and said he had no plans on returning but did not rule out a return one day.

Batista joked that he was in Los Angeles looking for work and said he's open for offers, be it MMA or acting. Batista has had discussions about doing a reality TV show.

Batista also claims that he has been approached with an offer by a non-major MMA group. Word is that it's a big money offer and is for two fights, likely pay-per-view events and the first opponent would be a well-known former headliner. This is the same offer that Batista hinted around about when he was leaving WWE. It should also be noted that Scott Scoker (Strikeforce owner) and 'Big Dave' had a meeting at last week's show as well and they were said to have been interested but no deal was signed.

Batista has been training regularly at the Affliction gym and has dropped considerable weight since leaving WWE. Most believe that a MMA career for Batista is highly unlikely, given his age and experience, among other things although he believes it's very possible.

Batista's contract with WWE has expired and he is a free agent. Batista claims TNA did make him an offer but with the large amount of money they have spent on bringing in other big names recently, they couldn't come close to matching what he had been earning in WWE.

Backstage NXT News: Heat On A Talent, The Futures, More

» One of the reasons that Windham Rotunda, known as Husky Harris on NXT, was given a shot on season 2 and not his brother, Bo Rotunda in FCW, is because WWE doesn't want anyone under 21 years of age on the main roster. Bo is 20 years old while Husky is 23.

» As noted before, NXT season 2 Rookie Lucky Cannon was formerly known as Johnny Prime in WWE developmental. Apparently he was given the Lucky Cannon name because WWE didn't want anymore John's on the roster.

» NXT Season 2 Rookie Percy Watson already has some heat on him backstage for acting up.

» Chris Jericho's new gig as a game show host for ABC network's "Downfall" show has been a major topic of discussion backstage in WWE for the past two weeks. The company was unable to talk Jericho out of doing the show. Jericho is under contract with WWE until this Fall and his new gig has caused many to fear he'll get others in the entertainment business that would cause him to take another hiatus from WWE.

Matt Hardy Urging Fans To 'Get Ready', Savannah Comments On Firing

Quite like 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, Matt Hardy vows to make 2010 "the year of Matt Hardy." The SmackDown Superstar released the following mission statement urging fans to "get ready for the biggest run of Matt Hardy's career." You can view the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFOKPjLtA2g

Making her first public comments since being released by World Wrestling Entertainment, Savannah remarked the following yesterday on Twitter: "It has been quite a day....my head hurts...need some sleep..I appreciate all the support and I will write tomorrow...i love my fans..gnite."

Backstage Flair-TNA Update (Contract, etc.) + Daniels Returning?

» It looks like the newest stable in TNA is being called Fortune, led by Ric Flair. Members of the group look to be Beer Money, AJ Styles, Kazarian and Desmond Wolfe.

» Ric Flair’s TNA contract was for 52 dates over a one-year period. Since he has appeared on virtually all of TNA’s television and pay-per-view events, the company will likely have to sign him to a new contract soon. One bargaining chip for TNA in the negotiations is their ability to bring in Ric Flair’s son, Reid.

» Christopher Daniels has not been in talks with TNA about returning despite rumors stating otherwise.

Tommy Dreamer-TNA Update, Moore Injured, Hogan's Plans

» Hulk Hogan has been negotiating with A&E, TruTV and Fox about another reality show based on himself. Hogan wants the show to be called "The Resurrection of Hulk Hogan."

» As noted earlier here on the website, while WWE has the name Tommy Dreamer trademarked, Dreamer can still use the name in TNA and anywhere else he wants since he can show that he's used the name before WWE. As everyone knows, Dreamer used the name for years before joining WWE.

» Shannon Moore apparently suffered an ankle injury at this week's iMPACT tapings but doesn't look like he will miss any time.

Christopher Daniels Suffers Injury

Christopher Daniels suffered a ruptured ear drum after a hard slap from Kenny Omega during the ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV on Saturday. Daniels said the following about the injury on Twitter. "FYI: Ear drops for a ruptured eardrum hurt like a motherf**ker!! OW!!"

Batista & Strikeforce Can't Agree On Money - Details

TMZ is reporting that the reason Batista's deal with Strikeforce isn't finalized yet is because neither side can agree to a salary for the big man.

Batista and Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker have already met and drawn up most of their contract, but the money is still an issue. Also a problem is Batista's availability - he's apparently in demand for both movie and TV deals since he left WWE.

As for Booker T's comments yesterday about Batista being unable to hang with someone like Bobby Lashley, Batista says he'll fight anyone, Lashley included.

**SPOILERS** WWE SD! Results For Friday

Here are this Friday's WWE SmackDown! tapings results.

-- Smackdown opened with Smackdown GM Teddy Long and Vickie Guerrero on the video screen. Long said it's been a whirlwind couple of he weeks. Long then explained an eight-man Money in the Bank concept match for the next PPV. He said the winner can cash it in for a World Title match.

Vickie spoke, but the crowd was so loud that I couldn't hear what she said. Drew McIntyre then stepped in and threatened Teddy Long. Long tells Drew that he has full power over the show. Long then re-instated Matt Hardy and booked Hardy vs. McIntyre for tonight.

-- The Smackdown intro aired and pyro went off. Big Show comes to the ring as they showed that Kane vs. C.M. Punk has been booked for a No DQ match tonight.

Jack Swagger came out on the ramp and said he's protesting how WWE treated him at the Fatal Four-Way PPV. He said he's not happy about his World Title loss. And he's cashing in his re-match against Rey Mysterio at the MITB PPV. Swagger vs. Show is next.

(1) Big Show beat Jack Swagger via DQ. Show hit a huge superplex on Swagger at the beginning of the match. Swagger eventually locked in a Kurt Angle-style anklelock and Show struggled to the ropes. He grabbed the ropes, but Swagger refused to let go. The ref called for a DQ and Big Show won. Swagger left the ring as show struggled to his feet. The refs helped him to his feet and carried him (yes, carried Show) to the back as the crowd cheered.

-- A video package aired on the Archer/Hawkins win over Christian/MVP last week.

(2) Christian & MVP & IC champion Kofi Kingston beat Dolph Ziggler & Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins in a six-man tag match. Decent match with a few believable nearfalls. In the end, MVP and Kofi cleared out Hawkins and Archer, then Christian hit the Killswitch on Ziggler for the win to a huge pop from the live audience. Other notes: Kofi got a nice New England reaction. Also, the side opposite the hard camera is still about three-fourths full. Still seeing many scattered empty seats.

-- A backstage video aired on Kane talking to an empty casket. He yelled that he's going to decapitate the head of the SES tonight in his No DQ match against C.M. Punk. He then slammed the casket closed.

-- Matt Hardy was shown making his way to the ring for his match against Drew McIntyre.

(3) Matt Hardy beat Drew McIntyre. Hardy was thrown to the outside at the beginning of the match. McIntyre stood in the ring as the crowd chanted, "You can't wrestle" and "U-S-A." Drew then dominated as "Hardy" chants began. At least this wasn't a throwaway match for all this build-up they've done with this feud. Drew eventually had Hardy on the steel steps and was about to stomp on his arm, but Hardy tripped him and Drew landed on the steps. Back in the ring, Hardy hit the Twist of Fate for the win as the crowd cjeered.

-- Teddy Long then came on the video screen and said, "Drew, sorry you didn't win the match, playa. Looks like somebody's Visa has expired. Somebody is in the country illegally. Send Mr. McIntyre back to Scotland." Drew is pissed. "Na na na na hey hey hey goodbye" chants begin as Drew argues with Striker and refs. Drew stood at the top of the ramp as the crowd waved and chanted, "U-S-A."

-- Cody Rhodes came out with Husky Harris to cut a promo on his good looks. He asked the crowd which Superstar is the best-looking and they showed a graphic with Rhodes winning. Who voted? Confusing. He said Harris is an average man who can't help how he looks. Good quote from Rhodes to an audience member: "USA can literally hear you getting fatter." Rhodes then picked on Tony Chimel before doing the "hammock pose" on the top turnbuckle ala Chris Jericho. Rhodes kept repeating how good looking he is, then he called himself "Dashing Cody Rhodes" over and over and over again.

-- Vickie Guerrero was then shown on the big screen with Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler is unhappy with his relationship with her. He said he gives and gives, so now he wants a title match. "Make it happen," he said as he left. Vickie stared at a picture of Dolph and her.

-- Rosa Mendes was then shown jump-roping in the ring as Kelly Kelly was introduced. I decided to take a break at this point. ... I returned as the Kane vs. C.M. Punk No DQ match was starting.

(5) Kane vs. C.M. Punk went to a No Contest in a No DQ match. Kane threw Punk into the barricades on the floor to start. Straight Edge Society then ran out trying to attack Kan with onjects, but Kane gained control and eventually chokeslammed Gallows through the announce table. He threw Punk into the front row and Punk took off into the crowd.

-- Kane followed closely behind as they brawled through the arena. Kane caught up to him and chokeslammed him through another table as the crowd looked on and cheered. Punk then opened the front door of the building and ran across the street to outside the Verizon Arena while in his wrestling gear. Kane chased him down as I believe Smackdown went off the air.

Post-Smackdown: Teddy Long immediately came out and said C.M. Punk has left the building, but that won't stop the party. He said Jack Swagger will take on Big Show in a steel cage match one-on-one. This was opposed to the advertised dark match of Rey Mysterio & Big Show vs. Swagger & Punk.

Dark Match: Big Show beat Jack Swagger in a very short steel cage match. Afterwards, Show high-fived the fans in the front row to send the kids home happy.

-- Big Show signed some more autographs and took pictures with the crowd as Chimel thanked the Manchester crowd for the show. It was very strange that Rey Mysterio was not featured on the show after winning the World Title at the Fatal Four-Way PPV.

RAW and Smackdown Ratings

The 6/21 edition of Raw did a 3.5 rating, with 5,123,000 viewers. That is up nicely from recent weeks but that may be a bad omen for the Fatal Four Way buys. The show did hours of 3.38 and 3.66.

The 6/19 edition of AM Raw did a 0.84 rating, with 942,000 viewers.

- The June 11th edition of SmackDown! drew a 1.9 rating (2.8 million viewers). The household rating is up from the week before, but down in total viewers.

Brock Lesnar Calls Batista a "Wannabe"

UFC Hvt. Champion Brock Lesnar was asked during a press conference on Tuesday about fellow WWE alumnus Dave Batista claiming he's signed with Strikeforce. "Get in line," Lesnar said. "Everybody and their dog wants to get into fighting.

"Next questions. "We're talking about a heavyweight championship fight, not some wannabe.

Bret Hart Gone From WWE (For Now) - Original Storyline Plans & Triple H Return Plans (NXT Angle)?

As seen last night on RAW, Bret Hart was removed from the Raw General Manager position by Vince McMahon for not attending the previous night's Fatal 4-Way pay-per-view (kayfabe). McMahon then informed fans that a new, anonymous General Manager would take control of the show, emailing announcer Michael Cole his orders. His profile has since been removed from the RAW Superstars section.

Word coming out of WWE following this week's RAW is that Bret Hart is gone for the time being. While there is talk that he might be back by the end of the Summer, he's gone indefinitely for now.

Not much details are available yet but it is known that there was concern from Lloyds of London, Bret's insurance provider, after the physical angle at the end of last week's RAW with the NXT Rookies. We can also confirm that he's getting married again as we reported earlier this morning here on the website. Bret is set to get married for the third time on 7/24.

Originally Bret was going to shoot a face-to-face angle at the Fatal 4 Way pay-per-view with the NXT Rookies but when he didn't make it to the show, plans had to be changed.

There's a growing feeling among some that a returning Triple H (likely with the sledgehammer) will be the one to save WWE from the NXT Rookies.

The Reason Bret Hart Missed RAW

Bret Hart is set to get married for the third time on 7/24. The word backstage at RAW last night was that Hart's marriage was the reason he was off TV. No word on when he will be back.

Booker T Rips Batista For MMA Plans...

Booker T spoke to TMZ about Batista's plans to jump into MMA by joining Strikeforce.

Booker said he doesn't think Batista can match up with the MMA fighters and that he wouldn't "last 5 minutes" in the octagon with Bobby Lashley.

Of course, Booker is a little biased - you may remember their infamous backstage brawl a few years ago.

Kurt Angle Wants Hass-Benjamin In TNA...

Kurt Angle says he wishes he could have taken more time off in an interview at http://tinyurk.com/36vhjhn He also expresses a strong desire to have Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin in TNA. Recent reports suggest that both Haas and Benjamin are cooling to that idea, with Benjamin especially thinking it would ruin any chance he may have of returning to WWE.

Backstage Details Behind Mysterio's Title Win

Regarding Rey Mysterio's World Heavyweight Championship victory at Sunday night's Fatal 4-Way pay-per-view, the title switch was done for a few reasons.

For starters, company officials were unhappy with Jack Swagger's reign as Champion as he hadn't gotten over to the degree they would have liked. It's also being said that Mysterio has been unhappy the company as of late and this was management's way of appeasing him.

Additionally, plans for Mysterio to take a month long vacation were scrapped when The Undertaker went down with multiple facial injuries, so giving him a title run persuaded him to stick around.

Angelina Love Lashes Out At WWE & Lay-Cool Gimmick

Apparently in reference to WWE's Lay-Cool act, an upset Angelina Love wrote the following on her Facebook account Friday night while watching television: "So this is what I get for quickly flipping thru the channels on a friday night......a blonde & a brunette blatantly ripping something off........BRUTAL!!!"

The TNA Knockout made similar remarks online last year after Maryse took a page out of "The Beautiful People" playbook by spraying Mickie James with hair spray during an episode of Monday Night RAW. "You can try, but you cant and you never will be TBP!!!," Love vehemently typed on MySpace. "The Beautiful People- often imitated, NEVER duplicated!!"

Days before Love's latest remark, Layla responded to those accusing her and Michelle McCool of ripping off TNA Wrestling's "Beautiful People" act, writing on Twitter: "Cuz all of the tweets about this subject For the Record I do Not watch TNA So copy cat thing... kinda NOT!! This is All I will say Done!!"

Melina WWE Return Update

Melina is being advertised to appear at Florida Championship Wrestling's live event taking place at the Orlando Armory on Wednesday, July 14 as we noted earlier. She will be taking part in a meet and greet before the show. In an update on when she expects to return to the ring, she wrote the following on her Twitter account last night: "I truly don't know when I will be back. One step at a time. I just want to focus on better mobility in my knee and building strength. Next is running. Hopefully I can hit my mark for getting cleared but if I don't, then I just have to keep working at it. We shall see when I got to FCW in a few weeks."

Batista Says He's Going Into MMA And Will Be Fighting For Strikeforce

TMZ.com filmed Batista in Los Angeles over the weekend with the former WWE champion claiming he's going into MMA for Strikeforce (which had a show in LA on Wednesday) and already knew what his first fight would be.

I want to point out Batista could always have been messing with the camerman and that Strikeforce has NOT made any official announcement on this front.

Bryan Danielson Comments On "Daniel Bryan" Chants At Fatal 4-Way

Bryan Danielson wrote the following on Twitter:

Heard there were some "Daniel Bryan" chants tonight... the support from my fans is heartwarming.

Event staff was actually confiscating "Daniel Bryan" signs at last night's show.

Vince McMahon Personally Calls Bryan Danielson - Fires Him

One of the stranger things about Daniel Bryan's WWE release is that Vince McMahon personally fired him via telephone late Friday night of last week, instead of having someone like John Laurinaitis do it. WWE creative and company executives were said to have no idea that any trouble with Danielson was even brewing. Some knew that there was heat from the tie incident on RAW but nobody expected that this would happen.

HBK Irate At Danielson's WWE Firing

Shawn Michaels, who believes Bryan Danielson's termination from WWE to be legitimate, was said to be furious upon learning the news. For those unaware, Michaels is Danielson's original wrestling trainer.

WWE Divas Booed Out Of MSG Last Night

A Six-Divas Tag Match pitting Divas Champion Eve and The Bella Twins against Maryse and Laycool (with Santino Marella as the special guest referee) at last night's WWE live event in Madison Square Garden garnered a highly negative reaction from the raucous New York City audience as the "Sexy, Smart & Powerful" WWE Divas were treated with "This is boring" and "This is stupid" chants during the bout. The match, which was said to be "a mess," concluded with Eve pinning Maryse following a spinning neckbreaker.

Ring announcer Tony Chimmel announced Punk as from the home of the Stanley Cup winners, so Punk won his belt. Punk took the mic and handed it to Serena. She demanded everyone sit down and show respect for Punk. Don't you usually stand up to show respect? Punk said he's the greatest thing to ever happen to the fans and they all know it. Punk went for the GTS but Kane pulled his mask. Punk fixed it but was grabbed for a chokeslam and pinned. OK match.

*In a Fatal Four Way, WWE United States champion The Miz defeated Evan Bourne, R-Truth and Mark Henry. Miz took the mic before the match and said normally he would start talking but he realizes, what have any of the fans done for him. He said he's the United States champion and the fans don't deserve him, but he's the reason we are here. He said NYC will never have Lebron James and will never have a title. Fans sang along with his catchphrase and he ripped them for that too. Miz tried to make friends with Henry and when he got blown off, tried the same tactic with Truth. The three faces all agreed to partner up against Miz instead. Miz immediately powdered out to the floor. Bourne and Truth tossed him in and Henry flattened him. Henry missed a legdrop and rolled out. Bella made a tag to Eve, who clotheslined and dropkicker Maryse, then slammed her. She hit a somersault legdrop for a two count but LayCool attacked her. The Bellas ran them off. Eve hit a swinging neckbreaker on Maryse for the pin. Well, they all tried but the crowd didn't like it and you could see a lot of timing problems.

Cena went for his flying shoulderblock but Sheamus ducked and Cena flew to the floor. Sheamus whipped Cena into the railing at ringside. Sheamus drilled Cena over the chest. He went for the Attitude Adjustment but Sheamus turned it into a DDT for a two count. He whipped Cena into the buckles. Cena went out to the floor. The NXT crew attacked Cena. Orton, Edge, Henry, Kofi, Truth, Bourne hit the ring and a huge brawl ended the show. In the end, the Raw brand stood tall. Great ending!

WWE has applied for a trademark for the name 'The Nexus'. This could be for the NXT group.

Hulk Hogan-TNA Creative Plans, Flair's Daughter Gets Married, D-Lo

» The creative team in TNA has been told to make sure Hulk Hogan appears on every episode of iMPACT!, even if its just for a moment. Others in the company feel that Hogan should be used more sparingly, so his appearances have more of an impact (no pun intended).

» TNA sent agent D-Lo Brown to AAA's recent TripleMania event in Mexico to look for high-flyers who could speak English. Brown saw the crowd and their reactions, then talked with AAA about coming in to wrestle. Abyss, who worked the show, also said he'd like to work more dates there.

» Ashley Fliehr, daughter of Ric Flair, married long-time boyfriend Riki Johnson three weeks ago Sunday. His older daughter Megan married for a second time about two months ago as well. Flair left for the UK directly after Ashley's wedding to promote TNA's upcoming tour there.

WWE To Do 'Viewer's Choice' Again...

Apparently WWE is looking to do the Viewer's Choice concept on RAW at least once a year from now on.

The fan voting at Monday’s Viewer’s Choice RAW was apparently legitimate which is hard to believe. While the writing of the show did push fans to vote for particular people, they had plans in place for each scenario if the fan voting didn’t go as the company hoped for.

MITB PPV Plans, Triple H Return Plans, Edge's WWE Future

In regards to Undertaker's "vegetative state" storyline, current plans call for Kane to be revealed as the culprit. A casket match between Taker and Kane is tentatively set for SummerSlam.

There has been talk of holding an all-NXT Money in the Bank bout at next month's Money in the Bank pay-per-view where the winner would receive a WWE contract.

Though Triple H's current absence from television is in due part to filming the upcoming WWE Films project The Chaperone, the word is that he is more hurt than first thought. The extent to which the injuries will delay his planned return to the squared circle are unclear, but sources indicate a rumored SummerSlam feud between him and Edge has been scrapped as of this writing.

Meanwhile, Edge is expected to miss some house shows during the month of August as he films WWE's action-oriented comedy Chasing the Hawk.

'Pretty Ricky' WWE Plans?

The Baltimore Sun recently interviewed R-Truth, discussing wrestling, his music career and more. You can check that out at http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/ In the interview, they brought up the short-lived "Pretty Ricky" character, and R-Truth had the following to say… "I have no idea where that was going to go. Pretty Ricky belonged to Vince McMahon. Believe it or not, Pretty Ricky is still lurking around places. You may see him pop in and out from time to time. He's definitely not gone. He's a mac from way back. He's a playa from the Himalaya. He's just chillin' I think."

Batista was in attendance at Wednesday night's Strikeforce: Los Angeles event. Dave spoke with a news reporter at the event about leaving WWE. He stated that he left the company because he was unhappy with the direction the company was going, and that it wasn't the wrestling that he enjoyed (mentioning the Rock/Austin era).

Batista also noted that he did not see himself going back anytime soon, but he did not rule it out. Batista said that he was in LA looking for work, and that he was unemployed.

Batista has shown interest in MMA, and has done some training, but at his age, going into an MMA career isn't very likely.

Whatever Happened To Shad Gaspard?

Conspicuous by his absence is that of Shad Gaspard, who last appeared on WWE programming on the May 14th episode of Friday Night SmackDown! in a win over a local competitor. Lay-Cool Took Shot At TNA...

Michelle McCool took part in a rare autograph signing Monday night in Fort Bragg, North Carolina and was said to be sporting a huge ring on her ring finger. She's been dating 'Taker for years now.

Apparently in response to accusations of Lay-Cool copying TNA act "The Beautiful People," WWE Women's Champion Layla remarked the following on Twitter: "Cuz all of the tweets about this subject For the Record I do Not watch TNA So copy cat thing... kinda NOT!! This is All I will say Done!!" Meanwhile, Vickie Guerrero made the following remark concerning TNA on her own Twitter account: "TNA - no way will I watch or support it...enough said!"

TNA Wrestling Is Looking For New Talent & Kozlov's Backstage Reputation

The company has been pushing to get scouts out to look at more independent talent. Washington, DC area independent worker Mia Yim received a tryout at this week's iMPACT! tapings.

A WWE source says Vladimir Kozlov is well in the WWE locker room. While nobody sees him as a top worker in the ring, he is a nice guy who works hard and has a good attitude with the comedy skits WWE creative writes for him.

John Cena Speaks Out On Bryan Danielson’s WWE Release

John Cena was on the Busted Open radio show on Sirius XM Radio today...

When Asked About Bryan Danielson:
"It stands where it is. I believe Bryan was given his release, and this is just my belief, it's complete speculation so basically you're going off my secondhand knowledge, it's something to do with violating our PG content agreement which is very serious… It was tough for us to get that [TV-PG] logo in the beginning. For us to violate that content agreement, we get in trouble with our TV providers, we get in trouble with our sponsors, it pretty much is not good business. I think that is the reason upon the Bryan Danielson release but on the same token, for a young man such as him to make an impact on the WWE Universe in that short a time, it says something about who he is as a person and where he belongs amongst our group."

Bryan Danielson’s First Independent Dates Announced

Bryan Danielson has been added to the July 23rd EVOLVE event in Union City, NJ at the ACW Arena. The venue is a small one that will hold about 300 people.

Danielson will then work the next night for Dragon Gate USA. The show will be their one-year anniversary event, and will be held at the Arena in Philadelphia.

Gabe Sapolsky is heavily involved with both companies, and also worked with Danielson for several years with Ring of Honor.

There has also been talk of Danielson working for ROH again.

Sting TNA Update...

Sting has been working through a shoulder injury as of late, which is why he has been wearing the t-shirt when he wrestles. He will likely need surgery to repair the damage.

For those wondering why he continues to get a push, even when injured, the reason is because of the name. Dixie Carter has been high on keeping him around year after year due to the fact that Sting's name is the most popular persona within the company with their licensees. His Jakks Pacific action figure is said to be the most anticipated figure from the new line of TNA figures.

It is felt that the aura and popularity of Sting pays high dividends for the company, dividends that mean more than simple in ring performance.

Tommy Dreamer Comments On TNA & Waltman Is Sick ...

Sean Waltman will not be back with TNA until he is medically cleared from his bout with Hepatitis C.

**SPOILERS** WWE SD! Results For This Friday

WWE Smackdown starts with CM Punk gloating about making Taker tap and his vegetative state. Suddenly the lights flicker and go dark and Undertaker appears in the ring! Punk cowers until he pokes Taker and reveals him as Luke Gallows. They laugh until Kane hits the scene, but Swagger blindsides him. Four-on-one as the masked SES member joins, until Mysterio and Big Show make the save. SES runs and they end up giving Kane a 619 and chokeslam respectively for last week.

Vance Archer and Curt Hawkins def. MVP and Christian. Not much to note. Hawkins with an elbow drop on Christian to win after breaking up a Killswitch. Beatdown on MVP post-match.

Rosa wants in Laycool and they mock her for only winning on Superstars and wearing Joker's makeup. Poor Kaval standing by.

Back on SD!

Vickie has Dolph Ziggler in jean shorts and a toolbelt to hang a picture for her. She checks out his rump and yells at Chavo. Masters walks in and walks right back out.

JTG def. Chavo with his running neckbreaker. Post-match JTG hamms it up with the crowd and brings in three kids to dance with him. Crowd loves it.

Kofi tells Josh Matthews he'll bring McIntyre a fight on Sunday. Drew vs. Kofi for the title Sunday.

Drew McIntyre enters to face Teddy Long. Teddy's music hits but he doesn't show until Drew reminds him of the consequences. Drew brought a personal security force with him. This was really long and drawn out and had Drew's mic die on him, but it was effective. Basically Drew forced Teddy, in full suit, to get on his knees, call Drew the Chosen One, and lie down for the three count. After Drew won the match he stopped Teddy and was about to Scot Drop him until Kofi came out for the save. He got caught by security and Drew pounded him until Matt Hardy ran in from the crowd to attack him. Security got at Matt too and Drew ended up giving them both Scot Drops in the middle of the ring. Doesn't come off on TV well but Drew got a lot of heat.

Kelly Kelly def. Layla with the K2. They actually showed some athleticism.

Vickie came out to massive heat that only got worse. It really gets to a point where you can't hear her introduce Ziggler.

Dolph Ziggler def. Chris Masters after the Zig Zag. Masters dominated until he went for a front slam and Dolph quickly locked the Sleeper. He later broke a Masterlock on the ropes and kicked Masters in the shin to set up the Zig Zag.

Jack Swagger dedicates his win on Sunday, Father's day, to his dad.

Main event saw Big Show and Rey Mysterio beat CM Punk and Jack Swagger. Mysterio got double-teamed until he made the hot tag to Show. Chokeslam reversed into a DDT and Show tagged back out. Mysterio reversed a Pump-Handle Slam attempt by Swagger into a sort of Backstabber for the win.

Post-match Kane chokeslammed everyone but gave a Tombstone Piledriver to Rey. He got on the mic and promised Sunday would be "fatal." Then he did Undertaker's kneel and an open casket on the stage was surrounded by plumes of fire. Kane left the open casket and walked out to end the show.

* Hulk Hogan is out. He has a lot of business at hand. First, due to the count out in last week's main event, it's now a four-way for the title at the PPV. Hogan is then interrupted by Abyss. He comes to the ring and Hogan says he was about to talk about him. He asks Abyss where he's going with this thing after the sharp left turn? Abyss says he did it because they told me to. They told me to attack Hardy and Anderson. They told him to unleash on them. He said when they come no one will be able to stop them, not Dixie Carter, not Eric Bischoff and not even the immortal Hulk Hogan. Hogan asks who they are and Abyss says he knows who they are and everyone will soon find out. Abyss doesn't need anybody but them and doesn't need the stupid jacket. Hogan says all they need is the fans, Abyss says he doesn't need these sheep and one last thing he doesn't need is this stupid ring! Abyss then chokes Hogan and shoves the ring down his throat. He then empties a bag of glass but RVD makes the save. During their brawl Abyss powerbombs RVD. Mr. Anderson runs down with a chair and whacks Abyss. Abyss punches the chair away and everybody bails.

* Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky are in the bathroom. Madison is mocking Lacey being used to being on her back while Velvet is concerned. Madison tells Velvet to snap out of it because Angelina is coming after them and her title.

* Angelina Love vs. Velvet Sky. Angelina Love got DQed for DDTing Velvet on the chair. After the match Madison Rayne came down the ramp and mocked Angelina with the title and said she'd never get it from her.

* Matt Morgan is out. He hates to say it but he told ya so. He told us that he was walking out of Slammiversary victorious. He doesn't sweat Hernandez and to prove it he's calling Hernandez out right now. Hernandez doesn't come out so Morgan continues talking smack. Eventually Homicide runs out and attacks Morgan. Morgan gets the upper hand and gives him the boot against the ringpost that put Hernandez out for months.

* Backstage, Flair and AJ Styles are arguing about Jay Lethal. Flair told AJ to zip it and that he needs to handle it.

* Kazarian vs. Jay Lethal. Winner via Lethal Neckbreaker, Jay Lethal. Flair comes on the big screen and is beating up Jay Lethal's brother and mocks him.

* Jeff Jarrett vs. Sting. Jarrett went after Sting in the rafters but it turned out to be a fake Sting. The real Sting was waiting for Jarrett and used the bat to choke and beat up Jarrett. Sting gets on the mic and tells Jarrett if you're going to walk with them, you're going to go down with them and then leaves.

* Desmond Wolfe w/Chelsea vs. Kurt Angle. Winner via ankle lock, Kurt Angle. Angle afterwards put up eight fingers to signal the #8 contender is next. Chelsea left Desmond in the ring and didn't wait for him.

* Douglas Williams comes out. He says Brian Kendrick probably said he was inspired by his third eye or some other foolishness for why he choked him out. Williams will now have to give the X Division a lesson in professionalism. He challenges Kendrick right now to come out and face him. Kendrick comes out and gets on the mic. He is complimentary of Douglas (which he keeps calling him). Kendrick mocks him by speaking very professionally while throwing in some of his "spiritual claptrap". Williams says to stop with the jokes and he's done here. Kendrick then chokes Williams out again and leaves.

* The Motor City Machine Guns come out and join commentary.

* Backstage, they show Shannon Moore attacking Brother Ray. A knocked out Jesse Neal is nearby. Devon and security break it up. Devon holds Ray back and yells at him about how he embarrassed him already last week and needs to stop this.

* For the shot against The Motor City Machine Guns at Victory Road, Beer Money, Inc. vs. Ink Inc. Shannon Moore comes to the ring by himself because of what just happened backstage. During the match, Tommy Dreamer, Stevie Richard and Raven come out in the crowd and sit in the bleachers. Also during the match, Jesse Neal comes out but is obviously still hurt. Winner via Keg Tap on Jesse Neal, Beer Money, Inc. The ECW guys left after the match.

* Falls Count Anywhere Match, Abyss vs. Mr. Anderson. The ECW guys came back at some point and are in the bleachers. Winner after being thrown into a chair and the torture rack backbreaker, Abyss. OBD & Scott Hall's Release...

ODB's TNA departure didn't come as a surprise to hardly anyone in the company. ODB has had heat on her for a few months after comments against TNA on her Twitter and in media interviews.

TNA made the decision to send Scott Hall home at last night's iMPACT tapings and word is that he has been fired from the company. We will have more on Hall's release later.

WWE RAW's Ratings...

WWE RAW did a 3.4 cable rating last night.

The RAW Ending, Zack Ryder Injured On RAW, Austin/Danielson

Beth Phoenix has been doing light leg presses in the gym following her recent knee surgery.

-- During the end of last night's RAW where the NXT Rookies attacked Bret Hart backstage, the RAW Superstars just stood on the stage watching what was happening on the big screen. Much of that backstage stuff was shot earlier in the day.

-- Zack Ryder suffered a concussion last night in the four way match on RAW for the United States Title. Ryder's injury came when John Morrison powerbombed The Miz off the apron and onto Ryder on the floor. Ryder wrestled another five or six minutes with the concussion.

-- Steve Austin made the following comment on Twitter, regarding the firing of Bryan Danielson… yes im watching RAW..no idea why Danielson was fired

The Undertaker's Storyline Plans...

There was talk last week of doing a Money in the Bank ladder match at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view with all-NXT Rookies, likely from Season 2, with the winner getting a WWE contract.

There was at least some discussion this past week about having the NXT Rookies be the ones responsible for The Undertaker being in a vegetative state.

However, word this weekend was that they are planning a Kane vs. Undertaker casket match for SummerSlam, instead of 'Taker vs. Jack Swagger for the World Heavyweight Title.

If WWE goes with the idea that Kane attacked Undertaker and they stick with the casket match at SummerSlam, Taker will work that feud before moving on to the World Heavyweight Title picture.

Breaking News: Scott Hall Fired By TNA

TNA fans ... say goodbye to da bad guy.

Current TNA Tag-Team Champion Scott Hall has reportedly been fired by the wrestling company. This comes a month after Hall was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest stemming from a disturbance at a bar in Seminole County, FL.

At last night's TNA iMPACT! tapings in Orlando, FL, Eric Bischoff announced that the tag-team champions The Band (consisting of Hall, Kevin Nash and Eric Young) were being stripped of the titles since Hall did not live up to the standards of the company.

Hall was arrested on May 14 at the Hitching Post Bar in Chuluota near where Hall lives. Police were called to the location around 1:43AM that morning on a disturbance complaint. The deputy that arrived saw the 51-year-old Hall yelling and cursing at the bartender and others. He later punched out the windows of a car and refused arrest.

Following the situation, Hall reportedly did not inform the company of his arrest. Instead, TNA management – along with everyone else – learned of the situation on May 22 when it was reported by The Orlando Sentinel.

Backstage Update: The Return Of 'Suicide' To TNA

With the Suicide character being a part of the new TNA action figure line, there is talk if bringing back the character for another run. Kazarian was Suicide at the action figure launch over the weekend, but will not be the character if and when it returns for the run.

While nothing is official, it is expected that Kiyoshi will fill the role.

The Suicide character will wrestle on iMPACT! this week.

Flair gets in each guy’s face and says what the horseman would do in their place. Flair says it’s not the Four Horsemen but it’s the same hand sign. Flair then asks AJ if he’s kidding me about Lethal last night? Flair says AJ committed suicide last night losing to a piss ant like Lethal. Lethal comes out in a suit and does his Flair impersonation. He asks if someone mentioned the Four Horsemen, the greatest group ever? He says it looks like they were here and took a dump in the ring. He says that they are not the Horsemen and it’s disrespectful to him and the Horsemen. Flair says Lethal is nothing and not Ric Flair. Lethal throws his jacket down and elbow drops it. They start doing woos back and forth and cutting each other off with Flairisms. Wolfe finally tries to cut off Lethal. He calls Lethal a cheap imitation. * Christy Hemme backstage with Jeff Hardy. Abyss vs. Hardy vs. Anderson for the #1 contendership spot. Hemme asks if Hardy can trust Anderson? Flair comes out and beats up on Lethal. Hogan’s music hits and he comes out for the save. Hogan says enough is enough. This is the reason TNA is on fire. Hogan says all the gimmicks, the Macho Man and the Flair stuff is hee hee ha ha, but the reason Lethal is in the ring is because he’s got the talent. He says Lethal has been running at main event level for months and is proving himself. Hogan then calls Flair out to hear this big announcement. It’s time for him to make a man’s dream come true. At Victory Road it will be Ric Flair vs. Jay Lethal.

* Jeff Jarrett is out. He calls Sting out because he has some things to get off his chest. Sting is out without the makeup on. Double J asks him to take his glasses off so he can look him in the eye and he knows that he not only hears but he can feel and see what he’s saying. JJ says Steve was the first person he called for his leadership, his ability, his professionalism and his true icon status. Even though they weren’t always on the same side of the fence, whenever paths crossed they treated each other with dignity and respect. That all changed after Sacrifice. That wasn’t a wrestling match, that was an attempt to end his career. He made a mistake though and left him standing. Now he’s got a rematch and has to deal with him. Sting is smirking and laughing at him. Jarrett says when this goes down he’s fighting for Bischoff, he’s fighting for Hogan and most importantly he’s fighting for the TNA fans. Sting leaves having never said a word.

* Abyss vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy for the #1 contendership. Tommy Dreamer is still sitting in the crowd. Match ends with a triple count out. No winner. He’s lost his mind and is old Abyss again. The crowd turned on him and booed him. Abyss isn’t done. He drags Hardy up to the stage and chokeslams Hardy off the stage through a table. Hogan comes out and starts yelling at Abyss. Abyss does the “YOU” finger point at Hogan and then Hogan gives it back and starts to take his jewelery off to fight him. Security runs out and gets between them before anything can happen.
