Ex-WWE Diva Returning To WWE

Former WWE performer Lauren Jones noted on her Twitter account this afternoon that she is meeting with WWE's Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis (a/k/a Johnny Ace); likely regarding a possible return to the organization. Though she is long removed from World Wrestling Entertainment, Jones has kept in touch with Laurinaitis over the years and thus a possible return to the organization was never out of the question. Since parting ways with WWE in June 2005, Jones has immersed herself in numerous endeavors including the launch of a successful wedding shoe line, her own network television show, the release of a workout DVD, radio hosting, and various other media platforms. She was also featured in a scene in the summer blockbuster The Expendables as Mickey Rourke's character's girlfriend.

Orton Responds To Rumors, CM Punk Dating WWE Diva - Who Is It?

-- Regarding rumors of Randy Orton being unhappy with his babyface character, "The Viper" said it's 'bs.' "Whatever u read saying I'm unhappy as a face is bs," he wrote to a fan. "Haven't felt that way since I turned." It should be noted that he told a member of WWE management that he wasn't a big fan of his babyface run right now.

CM Punk, who has dated numerous women's wrestlers over the years including Maria Kanellis, Amy "Lita" Dumas, Traci Brooks, and Becky Bayless, has hooked up with another one.

According to multiple sources, he is presently involved in a relationship with WWE Diva Beth Phoenix.

He broke up with Dumas earlier this year.

Backstage News: Tyler Black + Jillian Hall's Future?

-- Most of the WWE locker room thinks that all of Matt Hardy’s recent behavior is a work, according to a WWE source. Hardy’s latest cry for attention came this weekend, when he announced he suffers from “Dissociative Identity Disorder,” a condition similar to Multiple Personality Disorder.

-- As noted over the weekend, Tyler Black worked his final independent date this past Saturday in Chicago, Illinois, teaming with Jimmy Jacobs. The former ROH World Champion is living in Tampa, Florida and has been working out at WWE's developmental promotion in the area. He will now be working exclusively for the company.

-- There have been rumors as of late regarding Jillian Hall's future with World Wrestling Entertainment. While her standing with the organization remains fine, plans are being made to retire her on-air character. She would be removed from the main roster and subsequently work as a trainer for WWE's female developmental talent in Tampa, Florida. No word yet on when the move will occur, but it is the company's plan.

The Future Of WWE NXT In Question, Matt Hardy Update

-- NXT will continue to air in international markets.

-- As noted yesterday here on the website, Matt Hardy has launched a second Twitter account via twitter.com/THEMATTHEWBRAND. He tweets back and forth between both personalities. Regarding the second account, Matt explained, "Like I promised you all earlier, no more character stuff on my personal Twitter or YT pages, can't say the same for @THEMATTHEWBRAND sites.." Matthew Hardy is a 'cold-blooded' version of himself. Matthew's bio reads: "The Cold-Blooded version of MMH, MATTHEW M HARDY.. Doing whatever I choose to, however I choose to, while speaking the Cold-Blooded Gospel!"

Tara Blogs On Early Cancer Detection + Tiffany Update

-- As noted yesterday here on the website, all charges against WWE Diva Tiffany have been dropped in her domestic violence arrest against her husband Drew McIntyre. Still, Tiffany was not included in the newest WWE Program, which was just published. She also hasn't appeared on WWE television since the incident.

-- Tara posted to her MySpace a few days ago a blog where she takes about the importance of early Skin Cancer Detection and how to avoid it. Here is a portion on skin cancer:

Hey MySpacers,

Long time, no blog. I have been tweeting a lot. But this is way too long for a tweet.

First, the PWI Women's Top 50 Wrestlers came out. I was 11th. I'm a fan of PWI Magazine, but 11th? I understand that this is based on who holds a belt, and who you have beaten, and I may have been retired at the time and blah blah blah...Top wrestlers should be about who shines in the ring and who puts on good matches with their opponents. You know who was number one? Michelle McDrool. Now if it was wrestlers with the largest heads (and I don't mean egos, I mean actual head size), then yes, Michelle should be number one. The Great Khali would be a distant number two. Seriously, she's like a balloon on a string. Every hat she ever borrowed from me came back looking like a dog chewed it up. I was trying to watch a movie once, and her head was blocking the screen, and she wasn't even in the theatre.

If PWI would be so kind as to send a representative to the Impact Zone, I would like to have a word with them in the ring. I'm guessing one Widow's Peak, and I'm at least top three...

Second, when I was younger, I was a sun worshipper. WORSHIPPER. I grew up in the desert of Southern California, and I would lay out for hours on end. Even recently, I would tan indoors, because I think it makes me look leaner on TV. Well, that has all caught up to me. I went to the dermatologist because I had a bump on my hip. It turned out to be nothing. But the doctor noticed a mole near my collar bone that didn't look quite right. He cut it off and tested it, and it turned out to be Basal Cell Carcinoma. That is the most common form of skin cancer. He cut most of it off, and next week, they are going to cut out the surrounding tissue and I should be 100% It's it super minor, because they caught it early. So that some of my MySpace friends can possibly catch it early also, here is a link on what to look for... http://www.wikihow.com/Check-for-Skin-Cancer . Also, always wear sun block for extended periods outdoors.

So what I am going to do until they remove the rest? I'm going to face Angelina Love (the PWI #2 wrestler) at TNA live events on the east coast this weekend, and I'm going to hit her so hard, it'll knock the herpes off her tongue (disclaimer: I don't know that Angelina Love has herpes, but if herpes had a smell, it would smell like her breath).

I feel better than ever, I will be 100% next week, so don't bother with the well wishes. I am grateful it was caught early, and if you want to do something for me, check that link, and make sure you guys are healthy too.

Blood Edited Off NXT This Week, JBL & Wife News

-- Rookie Diva Kaitlyn was accidentally bloodied at some point during Tuesday's episode of NXT. Seeing as it was a taped show, WWE managed to edit around it. Post-match, Michelle McCool delivered a very stiff kick to Kaitlyn's head, although it is believed that she didn't cause her to bleed.

-- In the issue of Fortune Magazine dated for Monday, there is a story on John Bradshaw Layfield and his wife Merideth Whitney attending the grand opening of a bank in London that is owned by a friend of Whitney's. The story notes that JBL and his wife have insurance policies on their pets.

WWE SD! Roster Updated, Paul Bearer's WWE Return, More

-- The official WWE website has added profiles on both Paul Bearer and Alberto Del Rio's personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, to its SmackDown! roster section. Bearer's appearance on Friday's episode of SmackDown! was not a one time occurrence as he will be a featured character going forward. Meanwhile, Rodriguez showed on Friday's show that he was not above getting involved in the action as he grabbed Christian's ankle in order to help Del Rio gain an advantage during the melee with the injured SmackDown! star.

-- Paul Bearer has changed his Twitter handle to wweURNiverse.

-- Both Giant González and Paul Bearer were top trending searches on Google.com yesterday, according to Google Trends. González died Wednesday following a long battle with diabetes. WWE has yet to acknowledge his passing.

Gregory Helms Speaks On WWE Firing & Injuries, More

Gregory "Hurricane" Helms recently spoke on Main Event Radio about a few different topics. Here are some of the highlights:

Thoughts on his WWE departure: "I would say that my career was 95% positive. I had some of the best times of my life. I wasn't really too thrilled with my last run. In WWE/ECW, I wasn't too happy with that show; I wasn't a fan of that show. I'm the type of person where I have pride in what I do and I want to feel like I'm a part of their varsity team. I enjoyed my storyline with Paul Burchill, I felt that he was very underrated and underutilized and had a lot more talent than he was allowed to show. On more than one occasion we stole that TV show together. Just at that point in my career I was thinking why do I have to keep proving stuff that I've already done?"

"I was there 10 years, that's pretty much the main factor. Most guys don't even last half that long. I think the average career there is about 2-3 years. Some guys last way longer of course and some guys last one show and they're out. I was pretty vocal with how unhappy I was there with Talent Relations toward the end and then me and Jericho had our little incident. I was ready to go, and they knew I was ready to go, and when that happened [Jericho incident], it's like okay let's just take a break. The door's open. I've called WWE out on some things but not as a company as a whole. I had a great time there. There were some times where they used me well and did a lot of good things. Towards the end I just wasn't happy though."

On being injured: "That neck injury was pretty drastic. It was way worse than what was reported. I'm still rehabbing it. It's just not something that's ever going to be fully repaired. I still have side effects that I have to deal with but there's a good chance I would have to deal with them whether I wrestle or not. I'm going to keep wrestling. It's what I do, it's what I dedicated my life to. Modesty aside, I think I'm pretty good at what I do. I'm having a lot of fun working the indies."

He returned right before nine, only to be dropkicked again and clotheslined. Del Rio cut off Guerrero with an enziguiri, which sent Chavo to the floor. He placed Chavo's hand against the rail and stomped it, then tossed him back in for a one count. Del Rio locked in an armbar. Del Rio controlled Chavo's arm. Guerrero made a comeback with several rights and a dropkick, then a flying head scissors. Del Rio went for a dropkick but missed and went through the ropes. Chavo nailed a plancha to the tope. *They brought out Ashley Valance, who showcased several pieces of WWE Merchandise as they were shilled, then tossed some shirts out.

After intermission, they had a ceremony honoring Bret Hart. Howard introduced Jerry Lawler, and the Hart Dynasty to take part. Finkel said it gives him a great pleasure to introduce Bret Hart, saying Bret was unequivocably was the "Best there was, best there is and the best there ever will be." Hart received a deserved standing ovation.

Finkel noted that tonight was the first 13 years that Bret graced The Garden (if you ignore the Rangers game a few days ago). They presented Bret with a photo of Bret and his mother, a photo of Bret posing with Owen Hart and a photo of Bret and his brothers. There was a huge "Owen" chant.

Madison Square Garden then presented Bret with a New York Rangers jersey with the number to commemorate the year Hart returned to the Garden. The fans chanted "Thank you Bret." Nice classy moment.

Bret Hart took the mic. He said 13 years was a long time and he doesn't think there was another city of Arena he missed more than NYC. He knew years ago he would return one more time to thank his fans because they were the best.

The Nexus' music played and out came Michael Tarver, Heath Slater and. Tarver said there was a problem and that was no one invited the Nexus. He said they were the best that ever will be. He said he wanted to offer Bret the gift of safety tonight and gave Bret a chance to join the Nexus. They went right into the match.

Bret clobbered Slater and Lawler hit the fistdrop off the ropes. Bret then locked in the Sharpshooter on Slater, who furiously tapped. Bret and the Harts took a long time greetings fans at ringside after. The match was decent and Hart did more than anyone should have expected from him, but it was all secondary to the happy ending of Bret returning victorious to MSG. That ending was a classy, great moment. Kudos to all involved.

Show went to chop Punk, who ducked and went for some kicks. They were deflected and Show shoved him away. Punk went to the apron, then returned asking for a test of strength. He went to kick Show but got caught. He failed trying to slap him and Show chopped him in the chest, then squeezed Punk against the corner and stinkfaced him. Show slammed Punk and walked over his chest. Show chopped Punk in the corner hard. Punk tried to escape but Show held onto his trunks and Punk ended up running in place. Show continued the chop assault, then backdropped Punk. Show went for the chokeslam but Punk raked his eyes. Punk went on the assault, raking, punching and kicking Show, who kept shoving him off. Punk finally got him down and went for a pin but Show pressed him off with a one count. Punk got on Show's shoulders for a sleeper hold. Show fought out and flipped Punk off, then clotheslined Punk and hit a back splash in the corner. Punk came back with a chop block, taking out Show's leg. Punk went for the springboard clothesline but was caught in mid-air and chokeslammed Punk, then nailed the KO punch for the pin. Match was OK. Punk worked really hard with his antics. Kane kicked Taker out of the ring and back to the floor. Kane beat Taker on the floor, slamming him into the ringpost. Kane continued beating Taker with bodyshots and knees to the midsection in the corner until Taker grabbed him by the goozle. Taker went for the chokeslam but Kane nailed him and hit one instead. Kane whipped Taker in the corner but Taker came out with a clothesline. Taker nailed Kane with a punch as he draped him across the apron. He nailed the guillotine legdrop. They battled in the aisle. Kane reversed a whip into the stairs. He tossed Taker back in the ring and began stomping him. Kane dropped an elbow on the hamstring and tied up Taker's leg. He continued the assault on Taker's leg, slamming it into the ringpost. Taker began fighting back but Kane cut him off. He grabbed the ring bell and slammed it across Taker's legs. Kane ascended to the top and nailed a clothesline for a two count. Taker tried to trap Kane in Hell's Gate but Kane slipped out. Kane and Taker slugged it out with Taker finally getting the better of the exchange. Taker ducked a clothesline and nailed the heat seeking missile. He nailed a big boot to Kane's face but went down selling the knee. Kane ducked a goozle and grabbed Taker in one. Taker grabbed Kane as well and went for a chokeslam but Taker was kicked low. Kane chokeslammed Taker for the pin. Decent main event. Interesting to note that the younger fans were way into everything in the match since the feud is fresh to the new generation.

Notes: The video packages were a great way to make the night unique and special...Hart's last appearance in MSG saw him defeating the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels to retain the WWF title in a dark main event of a Raw taping...They had a special T-shirt commemorating Hart's return...The show marked the first time in years WWE did not sell out MSG...They were selling signed Kofi Kingston photos for $15...WWE will have a Raw taping on 11/8 at the Nassau Coliseum and a 12/30 Smackdown house show at the IZOD Center, both of which were being pushed during intermission.

Report: Vince McMahon 'Mortified' Over Nexus Sales

World Wrestling Entertainment's symbolic Nexus T-shirt has been a huge flop in terms of sales.

According to a company source, Vince McMahon was 'mortified' when he was shown the latest merchandising report on Nexus shirts.

Matt Hardy's 'Net Storyline, Why Bret Returned To WWE?

-- Bret Hart had a radio interview in New York on Friday, where he said that one of the main reasons he returned was watching Shawn Michaels battle the Undertaker at WrestleMania 25 the year before. "A lot of the softening that came with me and Shawn Michaels came from me watching the match with Shawn and Undertaker. I was just so proud of both of them pulling off such a great match at WrestleMania 25," Hart said. He also talks about his match at WrestleMania 26 against Vince McMahon, current wrestlers he admires, his family and Dynamite Kid. You can check that out here.

-- A large percentage of people in the industry believe that Matt Hardy is in "complete work mode" in order to obtain a release. No one thinks WWE is working an angle with him, but rather he's working his own angle at this point. Hardy is still pulled from all WWE live events and TV tapings for the time being.

Paul Bearer Blogs - WWE Return & Contract, & More

Paul Bearer posted on his blog about his WWE return, going into detail about what he's been up to since leaving in 2004, when the WWE asked him to come back and more. Check out some of the highlights:

On where he went after leaving the WWE: Since my departure from WWE at the GREAT AMERICAN BASH on June 24, 2004, I had virtually divorced myself from professional wrestling completely and returned fulltime to Funeral Service, which some may not realize that I have a degree in Mortuary Science and I am a legit licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. I managed a small Funeral Home and Crematory here on the Gulf Coast.

On his WWE contract: Many have asked for the details of my contract, such as it's length, even monetary details, and the like. Sorry you won't get that confidential information from me. I will say that a clause in my contract allows for me to continue working independent events, if I desire, and as long as they don't interfere with my WWE commitments. The bottom line is that I consider myself very lucky, at the tender age of 56, to get another chance at the top of our game. I am truly blessed.

On the night of taping his return: My SMACKDOWN re-debut to the company was set to be taped this past Tuesday evening, in Bloomington, IL. Getting there, staying at a discreet hotel, sneeking into the venue, and hiding out in the dressing area until my time in the event came, is a story onto itself. Most of the wrestlers on the card that night didn't even know I was there.

WWE Insider Comments On Triple H's Promotion, More

One WWE insider considers the timing of Paul "Triple H" Levesque's promotion as Vince McMahon's senior advisor interesting. The source questioned whether Levesque being named to a position he's been essentially doing for the past several years minus the official title is related to World Wrestling Entertainment being investigated for misclassifying talent and other personnel as independent contractors.

The company's Stamford, Connecticut based headquarters recently underwent a slight renovation as an office was built for Levesque as a result of his executive position.

"It was Extreme Makeover: Hunter Edition," cracked the WWE source.

Former WWE Star Jorge "Giant" Gonzales Passes Away

The local media in Argentina is reporting the passing of Jorge Gonzales, who wrestled for WCW as El Gigante before moving onto the World Wrestling Federation as Giant Gonzales. Gonzales, who was very ill with complications of diabetes and other physical issues stemming from his 7'7" height, was 44 at the time of his best.

Gonzales was a basketball star in his native Argentina before being drafted by the Atlanta Hawks. After he failed to make his mark, Turner Broadcast shifted his contract over to World Championship Wrestling. Gigante debuted at the Capital Combat 1990 PPV, coming out during a Ric Flair vs. Lex Luger steel cage match as a surprise.

Gigante worked from 1990 through 1993 for WCW, including a house show run where he challenged then-NWA champion Ric Flair. Although at his height, there was some attention and interest in him due to his size, he was never considered a great in-ring performer and was extremely limited.

Gonzales was signed by WWF in early 1993 and debuted at the Royal Rumble that year as a massive giant (complete with airbrushed, furry body outfit), attacking and laying out The Undertaker. That set off a feud between the two that went back and forth for months, including a Wrestlemania match at Mania IX in Las Vegas.

WWF built Gonzales as a huge monster, including angles where he laid out all the major babyfaces of the era at house shows, including Randy Savage and Curt Hennig. Gonzales was managed by Harvey Whippleman during the run, where ended after a Summerslam loss to Taker in a "Rest in Peace" match. WWF set the stage for Gonzales to turn babyface but he soon left the company afterward.

Outside of the United States, Gonzales made a few appearances for both New and All Japan Pro Wrestling and appeared in a memorable episode of "Baywatch" where he played a sad, bullied giant.

After his WWF run ran its course, Gonzales returned to Argentina, where it was said he owned and ran a farm. Last year, he was scheduled to return to the United States for a convention appearance, but his health took a turn for the worse and he canceled the appearance not long after it was announced.

Gregory Helms Takes WWE To Task - Details Inside

Former WWE wrestler Hurricane Helms railed on WWE's independent contractor classification for wrestlers and claims that talent averages $550,000 annual salary during an interview recently.

"I can see both sides of it to a degree. The way they treat us - the restrictions they place aren't restrictions you give to an independent contractor," said Helms. "WWE places all these other rules on you. You can't work for anybody else, you can't do this, you can't do that, which are rules that really shouldn't apply to an independent contractor, but to an employee."

"The only reason they do that is to benefit themselves and it's of no benefit to the independent contractor at all," Helms claimed, saying that its all for tax purposes. "It's not an independent contractor; it's an exclusive contractor. You're signed to an exclusive contractor and you're an employee, but without employee benefits."

On the annual salary thing, Helms said some low-card guys are bring in $300-$500 a week.

"That's total bullshit. That's the biggest fucking lie I've ever heard them say. That's a monstrous lie," Helms said. "I'll tell you why - what they're doing is comparing top guys's salary, but what lower card guys and mid-card guys and upper mid-card guys get is nothing compared to what that one percent of the top guys get."

"That's the whole thing with the youth movement. They bring these guys up from FCW because they're paying them beans. Some of these guys are getting $300 or $400 per week and that's before taxes. After taxes, you talking about McDonald's money," he said. "And these guys are going out there destroying their bodies. I'm not saying that because I'm bitter, but because it's a fact."

Other highlights:

On Travel: "Travel was very hard and air travel makes it worse," he said.

On his time in ECW: "total misery."

On WWE now vs. when he started: "I don't want to come off bitter because I loved being there, but it's a different company from when I was there," he said.

He also calls the writing for TV disorganized and plugged an upcoming shoot interview for the Hardys' internet show.

A Huge WrestleMania 27 Match + WWE Unifying All Titles?

When The Undertaker vs. Sheamus match was talked about for WrestleMania 27, the idea of having it as a title unification match was not discussed. It was just a match talked about for WrestleMania and the discussion over who would be champions then wasn't talked about. We're guessing it'll be a match for the streak as of this writing.

As noted earlier, there was talk several weeks ago about unifying all the WWE titles. The idea was the unify for IC and U.S titles around Survivor Series and then possibly the WWE and World titles around WrestleMania. Please note that nothing is confirmed as of this writing though and MANY details still need to be worked out before anything is set in stone.

John Cena Heel Turn?

-- Word is that the John Cena vs. Randy Orton tables match on RAW several weeks ago where Orton turned the Attitude Adjustment into an RKO through the table was supposed to end differently. The plan was for both guys to go through the table at the same time but for Orton to come up first and hit the RKO, giving him the table win over Cena. The idea would have been that the referee was confused but after going to a replay, Orton would have been announced the winner.

-- While it hasn't been a week yet since Randy Orton won the WWE Title, there is already some people in the company who are second-guessing the decision to put the belt back on him. Some feel that they pushed Orton hard for weeks and then gave him the belt and nobody seemed to care about it once he won. Some people were pushing to put the belt back on John Cena while others feel that this is a sign that Cena needs to turn heel because his face run is over.

WWE Talents To Switch Brands? Zack Ryder's Gimmick, Divas Feud

-- With the move to SyFy, WWE will be putting a lot more attention on the show creatively. Talents are expected to change brands, and with the show being on an NBC Universal network, WWE now sees the show as on the same level as RAW.

-- Zack Ryder's character will be pushed more of a "Jersey Shore" knockoff. Apparently this is inspired by TNA's new Shore characters and some in WWE were upset that TNA had the idea first.

-- Michelle McCool vs. Beth Phoenix is being planned as the top women's program when Phoenix returns later this year.

"WWE never made me any promises just gave me an opportunity to make money. And I made a lot of money, so (they) fulfilled their end. Do I think I should have been a World Champion, HELL YES!, was I underutilized, without a doubt, do I have issue with WWE, NO! I NEED TO BE AWAY FROM WWE so I can grow are a performer. There are many things about that company that SUCK, but i got no time to be crying about it. Melina Speaks Out - WWE Dropping Women's Title

Melina made the following comments, regarding the WWE dropping the Women's Title…

Maybe I will get in trouble 4 saying this but it never stopped me before, right? A lovely friend once told me, whenever u feel down about yourself & your career, just look at this http://www.wwe.com/inside/titlehistory/women/ . I did. From Fabulous Moolah to this year.... So many incredible women who are true Champions.... Hall of Famers!!! Pioneers held that title! When I looked at that page.... It was an incredible honor to see my name up there with all of them. People who I am a fan of & have memories watching when I was younger.

I held that title and was always picturing all these women holding the same title. It was a dream come true knowing my heroes touched this championship too. Now it's gone?

What a shame.

I'm a person that honors the past bcuz it's made me who I am in the present. It's a legacy to pass down for the future! Hall of Famers made that championship what it is. I feel like a piece of me as well as the memory of all the women who contributed to it's greatness is being put to rest with it. It's very heartbreaking. None of these women will EVER be forgotten in my heart. NEVER.

-- To update the news of Scott Hall being under full-time psychiatric care, we can report that Hall was released last week to attend to some personal affairs, but is expected to return this week. In accordance with WWE's Wellness Policy, WWE is paying for Hall's care, as they offer to pay for any current or past WWE performers rehab programs if they ask.

-- It was reported earlier today that former WWE Diva Mickie James had come to terms with TNA Wrestling and would be signing a contract very soon, if she hasn't already. We can confirm after checking with other sources that James and TNA working together is a "done deal." TNA President Dixie Carter personally signed James. As noted earlier, Mickie James is expected to debut on television within the next month, with the October 7th live edition of iMPACT! and Bound For Glory on October 10th being discussed as the likely shows.

According to one source, James is expected to debut in October, likely at the October 7th live TNA iMPACT! or the October 10th TNA Bound For Glory PPV.

A NXT Trainwreck Segment, Chris Jericho's WWE Future?

His European tour with Fozzy starts in two weeks and will end the final week of October, so at the very earliest Jericho won't be back until November. There will be an angle next week on RAW to explain his absence.

-- That WWE NXT segment earlier tonight with the Divas being given topics to rant about could possibly have been the worst segment ever in WWE history. Are you kidding me with that?! CM Punk was speechless and Cole/Mattews/Striker were laughing. That was incredible.

This Week's RAW Rating Is In - Ouch!

-- Last night's WWE RAW drew a terrible 2.8 cable rating with 3.9 million viewers. That is not a typo. The show did hours of 2.77 (2.8) and 2.82 (2.8). The NFL game on ESPN did a 10.92 cable rating, so WWE can't blame that number for the drop.

-- Shortly after RAW, WWE Diva Jillian cryptically noted on Twitter that she had closed a chapter Monday. "A chapter closed tonight," she wrote. "Excited for what's ahead." Just opening a new chapter in the book of Jillian!"

JBL: 'Hell Yes' I Was A Bully Backstage & Hazed Talent

Former WWE champion John Bradshaw Layfield appeared on the "Right After Wrestling" radio show last night. JBL spoke about Alberto Del Rio's gimmick being similar to his, whether he'd ever return to WWE and more. You can listen to the interview at TheScore.com.

Among the more interesting topics discussed was JBL talking about hazing in wrestling and whether the rumors are true that he was a major bully in the locker room during his time in WWE. JBL said:

"Did I haze the Miz? Hell yes! A lot of people want to talk about me and my hazing. Yes I did. I make no apologies about it what so ever. When I started, guys were hazed, and for good reason. They wanted to know that in a riot, which we had a few back in the day, were you going to be on the side of the boys or the fans?"

"Nowadays there's no room for it, the corporate, sterile world that is the WWE. When the Miz came in, most of the hazing was me working. Me on the mic, me talking to him. I gave him as much advice as I possibly could because I thought he had the ability to be a good heel. But I'm not going to apologize for hazing him."

Beth Phoenix, a three-time Women's Champion, expressed her disappointment in WWE's decision to put the title to pasture.

"It saddens me to see the historic Women's Title moved into retirement, but I am so grateful to have had the honor of holding it," she wrote on Twitter. "My sights remain on the Unified Diva's Championship."

Meanwhile, former WWE star Mickie James, a five-time holder of the belt, released an emotional statement on Twitter concerning its retirement.

"The retirement of the Women's Championship breaks my heart," she wrote. "The nostalgia and the legacy built off the backs of every woman who paved the way for women like me... Who gave it credibility... Honor... Prestige... & Truth! For every woman who's carried the championship through the generations... Who know the power & history you feel in holding it high above your head.. That can never be replaced by anything in my mind... In my heart... I am truly honored and forever grateful to be among the women who have graced its presence... Thank you..."

Ex-WWE star Carlito wrote in response to James, "Dont worry, there's now 2 butterfly belts!"

Report: Paul Heyman-TNA Talks 'Ice Cold'

A source close to the situation with Paul Heyman and TNA describe things as "ice cold."

According to a source, Heyman did pitch a new long term approach to Spike, but TNA President Dixie Carter is unwilling to implement the changes Heyman deem as necessary, nor give him the "Dana White role" (part owner) Heyman has wanted -- which would give him the final say on all facets of the business including hirings and firings.

The Reason Tyler Black Signed With WWE Revealed

Former ROH World Champion Tyler Black, 24, claims he was renegotiating with ROH but WWE star Evan Bourne convinced him to sign with WWE. He also said that he turned down an offer from TNA Wrestling.

Black added, "To be honest, and no disrespect meant, but it wasn't a hard decision to make. You have to want to test yourself against the best and WWE is the pinnacle of our industry. They were actually the last to make me an offer. I was renegotiating with ROH and TNA had made an offer, but when WWE came in it was no contest. I understand that I may have to sacrifice a little artistic integrity — and I don't know if I'll have to change my name — but I'm so excited about the challenge that lies ahead."

Black also added: "There are a lot of true feelings in my character right now. I really do feel that sometimes fans ought to see the bigger picture. In the Ring of Honor the fans are perhaps the company's biggest asset and the biggest curse. They are passionate, knowledgeable, loyal — but they don't see that beyond ROH is another world. If I knew exactly what I was doing I'd probably try to keep it from you, but the truth is I don't know. All I know is I will report to Tampa (WWE developmental territory FCW) and go from there. I wouldn't be averse to starting on NXT. I think it's a really great concept. It's a chance to get your character to stand out. I think Colt Cabana was unlucky that NXT wasn't around when he was in WWE, he would have been perfect for it."

Black finished up with ROH last weekend at the Manhattan Center in New York City, dropping the heavyweight title to Roderick Strong. He will report to WWE developmental in Tampa later this week.

Report: Backstage Heat On D'Angelo 'The Pope' Dinero

There is backstage heat on D'Angelo "The Pope" Dinero among some individuals in TNA Wrestling.

According to sources within WWE, one of the reasons he was let go from the company two years ago was because many felt he let his push on the ECW brand get to his head. He was known to refer to himself in third person as "The Black Pope" once he achieved notoriety and it rubbed some people the wrong way. He has been exhibiting similar behavior in TNA as of late according to sources, which has some of his colleagues complaining. He didn't do himself any favors by veering off script and cutting a 15 minute promo at a recent live event. Producer D-Lo Brown scolded him afterwards, with a number of wrestlers rolling their eyes at Dinero after it was over.

"The Pope" has also developed a reputation for making himself look good at the expense of his opponents. We'll keep you posted.

Linda McMahon Takes Shot At Obama

We are further in debt, our deficit has grown, unemployment has grown. From a leadership perspective, I think he has fallen short."

The Latest On Matt Hardy - TNA Hints Continue, More

WWE is obviously not happy about the messages Hardy is sending out via his social networking pages.

Matt Hardy Now Hinting That He's Headed To TNA

Matt Hardy is strongly hinting on Twitter that he's headed to TNA Wrestling. A fan asked him if there was any chance he'd team up again with his brother Jeff to re-form The Hardy Boyz. Matt replied:

"A 100% chance :) And I can't wait.."

Another fan also tweeted the following to Hardy: matt comon man you got a losing streak ur not the matt I watch a long time ago. He received the following reply from Hardy:

You're right-plan on changing that. It's time for me to go somewhere that'll I'll be given a fair chance-that's all I want.

There are all sorts of rumors out there on the Hardy situation. WWE sources say he's been 'unfit to perform' backstage at WWE live events and has been sent home several times by WWE management. He was also absent from this week's SD! tapings in Detroit and was not backstage at the event. The video he posted on YouTube.com should tell you something is obviously not right. The glossy eyes and sound of his voice are a serious clue. We're working on a report on Matt Hardy's WWE contract and when it expires so stay tuned for that.

Obama vs. McMahon: President Obama Blasts Linda

U.S. President Barrack Obama appeared at a fundraiser for Linda McMahon's opponent Richard Blumenthal on Thursday, speaking out against the former WWE CEO and saying she's not fit for the United States Senate and calling the decision to vote for Blumenthal a "no brainer."

Video footage of Obama's rant against Linda McMahon has been posted online and is getting a lot of attention today on various cable news networks. Playing up on McMahon's WWE past, a few pundits have dubbed this speech "Obama vs. McMahon."

"This is the kind of leader you want representing you, somebody you know,” Obama said of Blumenthal. "Somebody who doesn’t just show up and try to get a victory by writing a big check and flooding the airwaves with negative ads.”

"I understand [Linda McMahon] has promised a 'smackdown,'" Obama continued. "That is what she said. And, look, there’s no doubt, I can see how somebody who’s been in professional wrestling would think that they’re right at home in the United States Senate — if they were watching some of the behavior that’s been going on."

Matt Hardy Continues Childish Tweets, & More

Matt Hardy has continued to drop more cryptic hints on his official Twitter page all but seeming to confirm his days with WWE are limited and could be making a jump to TNA Wrestling shortly. Of course, this is not confirmed by any means as he's still under contract with WWE as of this writing.

As noted earlier here on the website, when asked if people should buy tickets to see the WWE tour of Europe in November to see him or buy tickets for TNA's January show in Berlin, Hardy added, "I'd go with Berlin." WWE is not happy with a lot of the messages he has been sending out publicly via his official Twitter page. We all know how Hardy has twisted this story more than once and basically got 'caught' when WWE confirmed that he had been 'sent home' from two WWE live events in recent weeks. Hardy had tried to cover it up by posting a video showing that he was still in the U.K at his hotel, obviously playing off the 'sent home' title that we posted last week. Nonetheless, WWE is not happy with Hardy right now and that's a simple fact.
